Yesterday one of our clients, the Calliope Joy Foundation lost sweet Cal who was an inspiration to all. May Cal continue to inspire us in the impact everyone involved is determined to make. ❤️💔

Yesterday, March 24, 2022, Calliope “Cal” Joy Carr passed away surrounded by her family at her home in Bala Cynwyd, PA. While Cal lost the ability to walk, eat and talk during her battle with MLD, she never stopped laughing and smiling.

Calliope was an inspiration. Doctors originally told the Kefalas-Carr family how it was likely that Calliope would not live beyond the age of six. However, this past December, Cal defied all scientific odds and celebrated her 12th birthday. She joined the five percent of children with her disease who live to the age of 10.

Our hearts go out to the Kefalas-Carr family and friends during this difficult time. The service will be held on Thursday, March 31 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Elkins Park, PA. The family has requested that all attendees wear bright colors to help celebrate Cal’s life. …we were BACK! The Philly SHRM Symposium! So proud of our Seamless team for planning such a smooth event after so many years. We gave out a lot hugs & watched faces smile thru the day! We are proud to have looked at the event in a different way to make it a success…in-person!

The Seamless Team is feeling thankful as we were able to celebrate the start to the holiday season with a spa day which was full of relaxation, laughter and togetherness. We ended with drinks and some yummy food! Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving!

This past weekend, Seamless Events helped KIF1A.ORG host their virtual, 2-day, Family & Scientific Engagement Conference. It turned out to be an incredibly smooth, powerful, engaging event that received rave reviews the families and scientists that attended. Not to mention, this one really hit home. Seamless Event’s Manager, Laura DiTrapano, lost her niece, Gia, on Christmas night 2020 to this rare, progressive neurological disorder. Gia was only a little over a year and half old.
