Festival sets are literally my favorite and I’m literally going to just go wherever your energy takes me, so let’s fest one last time and end on the highest note.

SUPER excited for Downtown Rising tonight and my set will be a tribute to the "Lafayette sound" that helped to shape me as a DJ and an artist.

Whether you call it "techno" or "plaza music" or "breakbeats" or "funky breaks" or just "breaks"—chances are you remember it from the legendary nightclubs here in Lafayette, across south Louisiana and beyond the gulf all the way through Florida.

Not only did the sound shape my career, but so did the producers, remixers, and people I met through the music along the way. They know who they are. I'll have them on stage with me tonight in spirit and if they hit the DMs and wanna come out, I'll certainly make sure they've got passes to be there in person. 😅

It's crazy that "the Lafayette sound" that I'm describing has never been on a stage like this IN TOWN with this type of production, so, that's what I'm doing.

I don't have a planned set. I'm literally just going to freestyle it and play to the energy of what will be an amazing crowd.
Can't wait to see friends who I haven't seen in ages and to celebrate our amazing local talent for this incredible show.
