In this episode of the ‘People & Places of North Mayo’ video series we meet with Leo Munteanu, the founder of T2 Coffee Van. T2 Coffee Van is a 1976, Type 2 Volkswagen Camper Van converted into a fully equipped Vintage Specialty Espresso Bar.

Founded in 2019, T2 Coffee Van has become a firm favourite with coffee lovers in the West of Ireland. If you have visited the north Mayo and the West Sligo area for one of our many festivals or events, or indeed if you have been here for a wedding, you have probably met with Leo along the way! You can also find him on occasion whilst strolling the beautiful Enniscrone Beach, Sligo only a few minutes down the road from Ballina. Indeed, Leo has also provided his services for local attractions such as The Connacht Distillery and film crews shooting movies and documentaries in our beautiful area.

Leo provides a friendly and professional service with a welcoming smile for all which is what helps us to keep north Mayo extra special!

It is a fortunate choice of words - Tea2Coffee, but the T2 in our name actually stands for the type of Volkswagen Van - Type 2 (second generation of Volkswagen vans)

With only few weeks to @theacademy awards we congratulate @banshees_movie of all their achievements so far including winning 4 @Bafta last night, as we can predict few statues heading to Mayo this year long time from @quietman took the big stage in @cong, mayo. It is an amazing journey that they took! It is not the destination, it's the journey that this project took promoting the very best of Ireland and The West of Ireland. We were very privileged to take part on few occasions either making short coffees cortados for Padraic @colinfarrellupdates or vanilla ice lates for @keoghan92 ( on an very windy and rainy end of October in windy Achill, Mayo) or other coffees for @kerrycondon or @martinmcdonaghofficial @brendan_gleeson_ and all the crew from @lonewayproductions. "Two lifelong friends find themselves at an impasse when one abruptly ends their relationship, with alarming consequences for both of them" this only mean one think : drama relates to comedy and to success! ps. this is a short footage we took of Padraic @colinfarrellupdates grabin a coffee before meeting Colm @brendan_gleeson_ in the pub:)

Based in the West of Ireland, it offers a creative, yet simple approach to catering for weddings and events. We offer espresso type coffee, teas and refreshments and we aim to use only the finest local products.

T2 Coffee Van is a business that was born out of passion for the hospitality industry… and for good coffee. We think that a freshly brewed cup of coffee can put a smile on almost every face, be it at the beach or in the middle of an eventful day, such as your wedding day.

We are just getting started and we look forward to making our presence known on the beautiful beaches in the West , to festivals, events and weddings in the West of Ireland.
