Excuse us for getting a little sentimental, but before Covid we were flying high. 150 people at the door every Monday morning, rain hail or shine.
Then this stupid pandemic happened, and we were forced to sit still for the first time since we opened our doors.
We waited.
We watched Melbourne slowly empty out, all of our international friends could no longer stay. And we saw the party scene slowly wither away.
Then we lost our venue, it was clear we couldn’t go back to our little rooftop.
So we found a new space and tried to open up in the way things used to be.
But then we got locked down again. So we waited again only to watch the scene get even smaller..
When we finally reopened in December last year, we changed our format and rather than pushing the weekly Monday vibe, we decided to open up sporadically keeping ours (and yours) energy for the bigger events.
Soon this will all change as our beloved Melbourne scene heals itself but for now we are doing what we can to best keep this little Monday dream alive.
I guess, why we are telling you all this, is because it really hasn’t been easy since March 2020, but because of our strong, determined and unbeatable team, we have survived, and are stronger than ever.
Tomorrow marks 8 years since we first decided to buck the system and if it weren’t for you guys, and our crew of fruit heads on this little flyer, tomorrow wouldn’t be a party, it would just be another normal dreary wintery Monday morning in Melbourne.
So cheers legends, the people make the party and tomorrow it’s all about every single one of them x
