First of all, THANK YOU to all of you for your support and trust over the years as my business has grown into all that is has!

But, there are a few things I need to address...
1.)I am a small business. I am the sole designer of all the pretty things. I am a Wife, Mom of 4 kiddos, and we are a homeschooling family. My family will always come first. We have been challenged with lots of family things popping up this past year, but what we can say is we haven't missed a beat. Meetings may have been shuffled or asked to do zoom so we can still connect while I was out of state, etc. But I have continued to do everything with my clients as I normally would. I appreciate the understanding most of you have shown.

2.)As my business grows and we enter these peak seasons, like we are in now, please remember that it is just me! I have 2 weddings a weekend, not including weekday events (and not all of them are just local Bis/Man events!), this means my response time is going to be a bit slower. Please understand that and work with me.

3.)I have a love/hate relationship with Pinterest. Love it for ideas and visions, hate it because I cannot tell you how many times I'm shown photos of things people love...but they're literally staged photos and I'm expected to give that look of rectangle wood farmhouse tables dressed to impress with a significantly high budget and yet we are working in a non farmhouse styled venue with round plastic tables and a standard or minimalist budget. See what I mean? I always give more than I charge...it's who I am. I don't add everything up at the end and charge every little extra I decided to do because something else was just needed to complete the look at your wedding/event. Maybe I'll have to start doing that more...but I do this work because I love it! I love taking the stress out of your day and making it beautiful. But please understand what we are working with vs what you're expecting because of Pinterest.

4.)If you hire me, trust me! There are several wedding decorators and we all have our own unique styles. I've had this business for 8 years now and there are ample photos to see my style and if you don't see a photo of something specific, ask! Show me and explain what your vision is and trust me to bring that look to life! Many times years ago I'd only do what clients 'picked out' and what I've learned and clients have realized is sometimes the things we use as decorators aren't things you'd normally pick out, but that's simply because we can envision pieces and elements in your venue and know it will be stunning once we add your colors and style.

So many details to love about this event! From multi-colored runners to matching napkins elegantly tied and placed on each charger plates, to bud vases with floral pops, to simple dreamy floating candles and glassware, and let's not forget the hanging clouds! The stuffed rainbows, sun, and clouds were a part of the theme and available to purchase and donate to the children! See what I mean?! SO much to love about how it all came together! 😊

A beautiful wedding set up for a special couple yesterday. A big congratulations to Austin & Maria! The day was not without adventure, but truly thankful things turned out as they did with many beautiful moments shared with family and friends! We were glad to have been able to step in as needed last night and are proud of the strength you showed as a newly married couple to go through the events of the evening. I got the chance to coordinate and decorate for the North Dakota Homeschool Association's first Spring Formal/Prom. Such a great group of kids and loved seeing them out dancing the whole night!

Can we also talk about how stunning the mirror shimmer wall is paired with a mirror floor runner?! 😍

This year, I've had the privilege of helping coordinate North Dakota's first annual Homeschool Spring Formal! Homeschool kids from across the state will get the chance to come together for photos, grand march, a dance, and, of course, an epic after party! Really looking forward to seeing it all come together soon!

Hello, friends!
I'm thinking I'll do a live soon to discuss some life and business updates, but for now, here's what's happening!

Just as a reminder, I am a small business owner. I am a Wife and a Mom to 4 kiddos. I homeschool the kids, so while this allows us flexibility to do what we do, there's time commitments that go into that as well. Not to mention, the activities they're involved in keep us busy, too! Also, just as these past 6 months have proven, life can change in a flash. We have lost too many loved ones in a short amount of time. We are, however, committed to each one of our contracts with all of you. For instance, we still set up a school dance the evening of my Grandpa's funeral visitation...because we were committed and we shuffled what we needed to to make it all happen. But know that many times you don't know what's going on behind the scenes in our lives as well, so being kind and being patient means the world to us, too!

Next:
2024...it's going to be a wild one! Weddings, proms, galas, parties...so excited!!! We are starting off the wedding season this weekend! Truly so thankful for the beautiful weather and no snow storms to travel through...yet! 😜
If you have an event you're thinking a decorator would be handy for in 2024, reach out soon! Our availability will depend on date, location and size of event as to whether we can squeeze a few more beautiful events into our schedule this year!

2025...absolutely insane how quickly our 2025 schedule is filling up! So my best advice is if you think it's too early to reach out, do it anyway! Dates are filling up quickly. With saying that, a note to my 2025 couples, know that while you are all very important to me, I have a 2024 season to focus on and give my all to those brides/couples as well, so please be patient with responses and know once the end of this season comes around and we turn the page to 2025 I'm all yours!

I'm going to take a minute to share a little story... We held a 40th Anniversary celebration for my parents this last weekend and what a beautiful celebration it was! Sharing this video for a few reasons... 1.)Love, commitment, dedication and faith is what has carried these two through life. 2.)Check out the beautiful decor we put together for this event! My Mom's wedding dress displayed definitely completed the whole thing! 3.)This video shows a beautiful celebration of love after 40 years...but what followed this video was a heartwrenching call notifying us that my Grandma, my Dad's Mom, had just passed away. The night continued, these two loved on one another, my Mom supported my Dad and my Dad supported my Mom, they leaned on family and friends to walk through the evening together and turned this night into a celebration of life. A marriage endures good things but really hard things, too. That all happened this very night. But the way these two continue to hold hands and walk through the ups and downs of life is beautiful. In conclusion...I hope each one of you can walk through the ups and downs of marriage and life holding hands, keeping faith, and choosing love every day! ❤️ #marriage #40thanniversary #anniversarycelebration #love
