Under the GHANA YOUTH GUIDE intervention on GYG ‘Strengthening Ghanaian Youth - Through Climate Smart Agriculture, small scale farmers who are involved in the intervention have gained knowledge and skills which have improved their farming practices and shared their learnings with others.

GYG have Strengthening farmers' ability to adapt to the impacts of climate change on their individual farms, while at the same time enhancing the overall food security through better farming practices.

Workshops and capacity-building training have been organised for the small-scale farmers, providing a platform for them to discuss challenges and suggest solutions to climate change.

The intervention is technically supported by DIB and with funding support from the CISU - Civilsamfund i Udvikling

GHANA YOUTH GUIDE successfully held our maiden edition of Business and Innovation Conference 2024 which was held yesterday in Tamale at Red Clay.

The program reminded the immense potential that lies within Ghana's youth. The conference was with the theme: Business Innovation for Social Change.

The conference drew young people from Tamale Metro, Tolon District, Savelugu Municipality and the Sagnerigu Municipality.

"According to the Ghana Statistical Service, young people between the ages of 15 and 34 make up over 60% of our population".

However, many of our young people face significant challenges in accessing education, training, and resources to turn their business ideas into reality.

The Business and Innovation conference 2024 was designed by the Ghana Youth Guide to bridge that gap.

We assembled an impressive speaker in the person of Mr. Amin Yahaya - Executive Director of Samakose who shares his expertise, experiences, and insights on entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership.

GYG goal is to provide the youth with the knowledge, skills, and networks necessary to succeed in today's fast-paced business environment.

During the Business and Innovation conference, we explored key themes that are critical to youth success, including; Entrepreneurial mindset and resilience, Innovation and technology, Access to finance and funding, Networking and collaboration, as well as Leadership and mentorship for social change.

As the Executive Director of the organization, I urged the youth to take advantage of the opportunity created by GYG to learn, grow, and connect with like-minded individuals for social change.

I want to use this medium to commend all participants who took their busy schedules to attend the conference. GYG has streamline several youth intervention programs which seek to empower more youth in the region and the country at large.
