N&C and their intimate Yosemite wedding 💕 They started the day at getting ready. Then we traveled down into the valley where they exchanged vows under the impressive El Capitan, explored the park for photos, and ended their morning with brunch under the towering sequoias.

Later that evening created an incredible reception space with her floral magic, where everyone dined, danced, laughed and cried together for the rest of the night.

This was a reimagined wedding after the pandemic changed things, and I couldn’t have envisioned a more special way to celebrate the both of them🤍🤍🤍

While they loved their venue and celebrating with everyone, they always envisioned spending time exploring the forest as a part of their wedding celebration. Hi friends!

It’s been a hot minute (aka literal years) since I’ve done one of these so let’s get into it 🤙🏼

- Somehow I’ve been shooting weddings for over 10+ years! I’m a big believer in creating a safe and welcoming environment for all my couples. Truly I have so much fun at every wedding I get to be apart of 💕
- Outside of photography, I’m a full time student. I’m pursuing an intensive psychology degree at with the intention to research the intersection of criminalization and mental health in vulnerable communities (specifically with interests in dismantling the Prison Industrial Complex).
- I live in Santa Cruz with my husband and our (literally perfect angel of a fur child) dog Cornelius. We love backpacking, camping, and exploring California on our time off.
- Last year I started surfing (shout out to !!) and have absolutely fallen in love. If you ever want to kook it up with me in SC I’ve got an extra board 🏄🏻‍♀️

This is a love letter to all my couples who have navigated the unexpected this last year (and a half) with patience, grace, and an open mind. Not that it came without heartbreak, tears, or mourning of what could be. But the collective resilience has not gone unnoticed.

If anything, 2020 has been symbolic of how life as we know it can change at a moment’s notice. It’s a nod to the importance of clinging to what is good, and releasing the illusion of control.

Witnessing so many couples surrender to the experience and being able to see them through the other side of their marriage journey has been so incredibly inspiring for me. It’s a gift that has served as an immense reminder of what it means to be in true partnership during uncertain times.

Here’s to embracing the journey, and relishing in the destination, wherever it may be 〰
