Congratulations to all the participants of Evergreen's Got Talent 2023 last Saturday. The event raised ~$1800 for Resilience1220 and CAE. The full video of the show is now available at www.evergreensgottalent.com. Here are some clips of the two acts that will perform at EPRD concerts this summer, all kids age 15 and under: Judah Alexander (July 12 at Buchanan Field), and The Evergreen Conservatory of Music Jazz Ensemble (July 26 at Evergreen Lake).

Evergreen's Got Talent is back in 2023, as well as the debut of Conifer's Got Talent in 2023!
- CGT 2023 is Fri March 31 6-9pm at Conifer High School
- EGT 2023 is Sat Apr 29 6-9pm at Center for the Arts Evergreen
Both events are open to mountain area students age 18 and under, with winners to be selected as openers for EPRD 2023 Evergreen Lake/Buchanan summer concerts. More info including rules, registration links, and summer concert dates in the comments below!

Wow! What a great evening with so many wonderful and generous people! I'm so happy to know that Evergreen's Got Talent will live on in the best way possible with Andy Potter's creative genius, enthusiasm and great ideas! This was my (Schaunon Winter Gilman) last EGT event and I'm so proud of how well received it has been in our Evergreen Foothills Community for the last 10 years.

Over $5500 was raised for Resilience1220 and Center for the Arts Evergreen. Thank you to Sara Toole Miller @ Center for the Arts Evergreen for her awesome event skills and for hosting the event (and her hubby who was so helpful!), Pamela Lush-Lindquist for providing Coyote Gold and some quick thinking re: food (along with another helpful hubby), EPRD for giving these talented winners a place to hone their musical craft this summer, National Charity League, Inc., Colorado Foothills Chapter who set up, participated like champs and cleaned up, Resilience1220 for providing volunteers to count cash and other random acts of kindness, Slife's Devil Dogs for the good ol' college try (doggone 50mph winds!), and a host of others!

Without the music teachers and coaches in our area, we wouldn't have such a talented group of budding musicians and entertainers. So, thank you for doing a sometimes difficult but (what would have to be) ultra rewarding job.

Thank you to the parents of these amazing young people for driving and supporting these kids early on. It is YOUR commitment to your children that deserves ultimate praise! Your children will always be better for the music and life lessons they gain because you CARE about music.

Lastly, I want to thank EGT's former emcee, Kenny Fuller, for his dedication to this event. RIP, Kenny. You are missed and I hope your memorial last night made you smile. Thank you to Gypsy Deb (Deb Fuller, Kenny's wife) and Steve Boyd for making the trip to Evergreen, along with many of their friends who came to tell a story or two about Kenny.

Countdown 3 days! Act #14 at Evergreen's Got Talent this Saturday 4/23 6-9pm is May Be Fern, an all female four-piece band with connections to the Evergreen music and theater communities. Event admission this Saturday is free, we are raising money for Resilience1220 by 'voting' (ie donating) on behalf of your favorite band, and through food/bev offered at the event. Judges will select which acts get to play as openers at Evergreen Lake this summer. Hope to see you there!
