Stories & Songs of Stompin' Tom Duncan Fremlin and his band Whiskey Jack celebrate the stories and songs of Canada's Stompin' Tom Connors He left a lasting impression.

Since 1990, Whiskey Jack was a band Stompin' Tom called upon to accompany him on recording sessions, tours and his private parties at the house. In this show, they get to share some of the many stories & songs they enjoyed over the years. Much of this great troubadour rubbed off on these fellows.

This photo of our national literary treasure was taken from a post on her substack page, In The Writing Burrow. In that post, she informed her paid subscribers that their donation would be sent to a charity, not her (already stuffed with cash) pocket. I use the photo to inform the paid subscribers on my substack page, Stories Not Fit For The Stage (https://banjodunc.substack.com/) that their donation will be forwarded to another Canadian literary treasure, Gate Lepine.

One of the reasons our show on Saturday at the Aeolian Hall in London was a huge success was because our pal and fellow banjo player, David Jack, from Dixie Flyer Fame (and other bands) spread the word! Dave and I go back 45+ years. We shared a few road stories and told each other a few lies like, "you haven't changed one little bit".

Richards Landing Ontario is on St. Joseph Island on the north short of Georgian Bay a few miles east of the Soo. My aunt Beth lives there. She's my dad's last surviving sibling. Thanks to her hard work and persuasive talents (it's in her genes), my Stompin' Tom show is booked to play the local Legion on Friday, June 14, 2024. Spread the word. https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2F45w7GzDOayA%3Fsi%3D9jD7oou5YSW5sp9z&h=AT2I8yMvHxXgF7IeBTL8fsqh9QRNWErsu98dmnOCjGN3yokUoZ0SI2jQT0l-uTFPguH2dSS8DptVH7FY8EsqRrtAh2aUiZ1vou5-sQ24doINQS2O_NcqH6Yj1CMaPp-mLge_DwQ&s=1

We can't share the link to Zoomer radio but in a few minutes, Douglas John Cameron and I will be hamming it up on air with Sam and Jane, the morning show hosts. I'm sure we'll reminisce about our 15 year relationship with this most excellent staton. ZoomerRadio is the only station that doesn't stress out their listeners.

No words are necessary for those of us who knew, loved and played music with Bob. I don't know enough about his story to write a book but the material is th...

For you Stompin' Tom fans and supporters of our show, we can't begin to tell you how much you mean to us. The kindness and the effort you've put into coming to our shows warms our heart. We don't tell you this often enough. In 2019, a fan went the extra mile for us. We don't expect everyone to do this but we sure love Alan Dalton for this special gift.

The fans who attend and support our Stompin' Tom show are a special bunch. However, from day 1, Alan Dalton has gone the extra mile (or I should say, hundre...

On this day in 1917, the Battle of Vimy Ridge began. If you don't know what that is, Google it and go to the war museum site, not Wikipedia. We salute these long dead soldiers at all of our shows.
