A couple of months ago, I woke up to an email that made me cry…
Now, I'm not an emotional guy per se, but the news I got brought me to tears.
A goal I've worked towards for fifteen years was finally achieved...
You see, for the past fifteen years, my DJ career has had its ups & downs.
About five years ago, I had to have a challenging conversation with myself. "Are you taking the type of action that will get you where you want to go?" - The answer at the time was hard, no!
The only way I could see to move forward was by producing my own music and not just playing others' records.
The problem was I thought I HATED making music. The thought of learning all of the software, sound design, mixing, music theory, etc., was overwhelming, to say the least.
Instead of living in overwhelm, I finally decided to take action on the advice I'd been reading for years in personal development books and "find a mentor."
After trying out various production programs, schools, and tutors, I found what worked for me and slowly improved as time passed.
Fast forward to May 2022, and I'm on a plane to Ibiza to participate in a DJ retreat postponed two different times due to the pandemic.
Once there, I got the "validation" I needed. Finally, my music was ready, even if I thought it wasn't.
Thanks to one of the mentors, I got the introduction I needed.
That brings us to today, where I'm beyond excited to announce that I've officially signed my first two original records to the UK record label, !
Perfect Havoc has released tracks from prominent UK House producers such as Joel Corry, Jax Jones, Oliver Nelson, Tobtok, and Wankelmut.
I'm so grateful to everyone who has supported me in getting to this point, and super excited about what's to come.
Be on the lookout for my first official release coming early next year!
