So what is Trunk or Treat?

Trunk or Treat is an opportunity for the kids big and small to trick or treat from community hosts. Instead of going door to door, they go from car trunk to car trunk.

Historically Trunk or Treat in Fort Saskatchewan is a fundraiser for the Fort Saskatchewan Food Bank. We would love to make this year’s event a spectacular one in honour of Kassandra Gartner, who devoted many hours to this much needed community organization.

Dear Community,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of our annual Touch-a-Truck event this year. Despite our best efforts and the enthusiasm of our team, we've faced unforeseen challenges in securing enough vendors to make this event the spectacular experience it has always been.

We understand how much this event means to all of you and the disappointment this news may bring. We share in that disappointment. Touch-a-Truck has been a highlight in our community calendar, offering families and children the chance to explore, learn, and connect with the vehicles and services that keep our city moving.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to all the vendors who have supported us in the past and express our hope to work with you again in the future. We also extend our thanks to our dedicated volunteers and sponsors who have stood by us every step of the way.

While this year's event may not come to fruition, we remain committed to exploring new opportunities to engage with our community and bring joy and excitement to all ages. We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we navigate these challenging times together.

Thank you for being a part of our community, and we look forward to brighter days ahead.

We have had the honour and privilege to work alongside Kassandra each year in hosting Trunk or Treat. This pillar of the community was tragically taken this past weekend. Join the Fort Sask community at a candlelight vigil this Thursday to remember this unique and outstanding individual.
