Let me tell you a little bit about how Melissa's Florals was born. I was always a very 'arts-and-craftsy' little girl. Ever since I can remember, I made everything: from beaded jewelry, ornaments and suncatchers to anything with glitter, spangles and sparkles. I love decorating at Christmas , and when I simply couldn't find anything nice as a centerpiece for the table some 20-odd years ago, I deci
ded to try to make one. With a basket, some styrofoam, leftover ornaments (or pieces of what had not broken from them), some pipecleaners (remember them?) and whatever plastic or silk Christmas flowers I had lying around (and glitter, of course!), I created my first flower design, which has proudly sat on my Christmas table every year since! That led to my taking a few fresh flower design courses at an art design school - and although I really do enjoy working with real flowers on occasion (which can be arranged if that is what you desire), I find that faux flowers are easier to handle (and they live a lot longer, as well)! Up until recently, I was making these pieces solely for friends and family. A friend of a friend saw it, and wanted to know if I would make one for her, too. Great reviews led me to start making them at craft fairs, flea markets and for whatever special occasions people would request. My designs gradually became known through word of mouth, and the popularity of them encouraged me to create a start-up company along with my website. I really enjoy doing it, and I never would have dreamed that I could have my own business doing what I love!! When you order from Melissa's Florals, you will be guaranteed that you will love your item. I pride myself on being very imaginative, but I do like to keep it within the parameters of what my customers want. So, whatever colors or styles you would like, then I will try my best to make it EXACTLY the way you want it. And if you are not 100% satisfied, please contact me! I look forward to hearing from you - and being able to give you a beautiful, artificial floral design! Blessings,
Melissa
