Across the globe, people continue to reel from the impacts of multiple crises—rising costs of living, climate crisis, wars, and the use of violence against people for private wealth accumulation. In response, massive protests have been erupting in different parts of the world.

In light of these, Focus on the Global South and Progressive International will organize a forum to discuss contemporary trends and challenges and how progressive movements can seize the opportunity presented by popular discontent to rebuild a new world grounded on social justice.

Prof. Walden Bello will be the moderator of the discussion. Other panelists are Varsha Gandikota-Nellutla (Progressive International) and Prof. Peter Rosset (Visiting Scholar, Chulalongkorn University Social Research Institute) to cover perspectives from International Movement and Latin America.
