Just like a perfectly balanced wedding day, Libras are all about beauty, charm, and enjoying the simple pleasures in life. 🕊️

That’s why ‘Put Your Records On’ by Corinne Bailey Rae feels like the perfect soundtrack for this sign – a little bit of laid-back, effortless style.

We couldn’t help but think back to The Burley’s wedding, where every detail felt like pure harmony 🤍

We loved how they incorporated their monogram into so many details from napkins, koozies & cups, mantle decor, wreath sashes, and our photobooth prints

From the stunning ceremony to their fun filled reception it was such a wonderful day. The guests were such a blast on the dancefloor and in the photobooth!

It’s hard to believe since the fall leaves haven’t even hit the ground yet, but wedding DJs book out anywhere from 6 to even 12 months in advance!

We wanted to share a few tips about our Elevated Party Line: Audio Guestbook! 📞

⭐️ Add an extra special touch by using a custom audio recording- You send us a greeting and we add it to the audio guestbook so you are personally greeting your guests on the phone! ☺️

⭐️ Utilize one of our many tray options to match your theme/vibe- we have metal, wood, acrylic and more to choose from! On that note, plan a small floral arrangement or decor item for the table the guestbook will be on to really draw attention 💐

⭐️ Signage is key- You want guests to know HOW and WHY to use the audio guestbook! Our signs walk guests through the steps to use the phone, and suggestions on what to say 🗣️🎙️

Happiest of birthdays to Rising Tide, we are so thankful to be part of this awesome community, celebrating nine years! 9️⃣🎂

I (Emily) have been part of since January 2023 and have found such an amazing group of creatives and entrepreneurs. From educational workshops and co-working days, to our annual market and everything in between. (We also have no membership fees! And yes men are allowed 🤣)

I have “only” been part of RT for a year and a half and I don’t have enough fingers to count the amount of times we have referred or worked FOR each other within the group during that time. And the amount of new friends is double that! 👯‍♀️🌟

Being an entrepreneur can be so isolating, it can feel like everyone has already found their friend group and knows what they are doing. When actually more people than you think are longing for connections with those who know what it’s like to wear ALL the hats in their business. 🧢🎓🪖👒😵‍💫

Enough rambling about how much I love our growing community within Rising Tide, just know we had an awesome day celebrating its 9th birthday (and 1st anniversary as a 501c!) 🥳🎉🌊

It’s Monday already??! We are back in the office after a fun long weekend in Dauphin Island with our pups 🌊🐕🌴

While we catch up on emails and housework let’s pause for a little intro since we have a few new faces around!

Andrew and I (Emily) started Elevated Entertainment in 2016; inspired by our combined audio/tech skills, a love of music and an eye for what truly makes an event unforgettable. What has happened since has truly been a DREAM!

Here’s three things about each of us, and about our dogs because why not 🤪

✨EMILY:
🍬- I’m type one diabetic and call myself “DJ TooSweet”, I was diagnosed at 20, over ten years ago!

📸- I’ve always had interest in photography but found my niche with photobooths! The interaction with the guests and custom designs make my heart happy

💍- Before we started doing weddings (and now have done 100s) I had only been to a handful! Now it’s my whole life 😅

✨ANDREW:
🪨- He is an avid gem and mineral collector, with a huge collection! His favorite to collect are U.S. specimens

🎭- His full time job is Director of Operations for the Center for the Arts at University of Montevallo and also on the College Night Committee where he runs Palmer Staff

🐘- He is a big Alabama fan and knows so much info about the team. We’re excited to see what this coming season has in store with the new coach! Also, Chop chop go Braves!!

✨Mason (10,M) & Charlie (6,F):
🐾- We love grandmas pool and any type of water we can get in (expect the bath). Our parents just FINALLY took us to the beach for the first time. Safe to say we had the greatest time ever 😎

🐾- Anyone who comes to our house is going to get the greeting committee with a million kisses 👅

🐾- We love our kitty sister Cali, who Andrew has had since 2012 🤯

🌟5 TIPS ON HIRING YOUR WEDDING DJ🌟 💫1. Music Sections: How will your DJ collect music selections for the Ceremony and Reception special songs and general requests? Do they take requests from guests? Be sure to ask these questions and discuss what genres and moments are important to you and your partner. Some couples want a chill vibe whereas some want to crank up the party right after cake cutting 💃🪩💫2. Announcements & Crowd Interaction: Along those same lines, discuss with your partner and your potential DJ on how they interact with the crowd. We’re light to medium interaction- and some couples might want someone who’s on the mic all night! Ask how they announce important events such as introductions into reception and first dances. These are highly important to kick off the vibe of the night and if it isn’t clear or exciting then it feels like a flop. 🎤💫3. Equipment/Set-Up: Every DJ’s set up looks different, and the quality of equipment can vary greatly. Make sure you’re booking someone who has a system adequate enough for your venue size, and has back-ups to ensure that your party doesn’t stop. Also, are they LICENSED to play the songs they are playing? Do they have INSURANCE?! 🧐📝💫4. Professionalism: This is one of the most important days of your life, why risk your DJ showing up and not having a good attitude or even drinking on the job 🫣 We can’t even tell you the crazy things we’ve seen/ heard but I can tell you it stays with us (just like your amazingly terrible dance moves) and we keep our cool along the way. Also, weddings aren’t the time for Uncle Joe to show off his “dope Spotify playlist”, I said what I said 😅💫5. Our Story

Elevated Entertainment is a locally-owned and operated event entertainment business in Birmingham, Alabama that specializes in DJ & emcee services, photo booth rentals, karaoke, and party & wedding entertainment. Andrew Fancher and Emily Wilbanks started this business from scratch in 2016, and have been going strong ever since! Here’s our story.

Andrew Fancher is originally from Calera, Alabama and graduated from The University of Montevallo with a degree in broadcasting. During his time at Montevallo he began working with the university events office, organizing and executing special university events. Having a natural talent for event coordination, he continued to pursue this passion and now has accumulated over 10 years of event experience, and 4 years of specific DJ experience. Andrew has learned through this time that customer service, attention to detail, and flexibility is what sets Elevated Entertainment apart from others.

Emily Wilbanks graduated from the University of Montevallo in 2016. Being raised in Madison, Alabama, and since moving to Montevallo, she has fallen in love with the Birmingham and surrounding areas. During her time at University of Montevallo, Emily was able to utilize her love of event planning as social chairman of her sorority, while also gaining valuable experience and many lifelong friendships. Now as the Co-Owner of Elevated Entertainment, Emily is able to work with brides and other clients to plan their special day to perfection! Not only will you work with Emily to coordinate your event, you may also have her as your DJ or Photobooth Attendant!
