⏰It's time. We're near 20K. Thank you for the love. Imagine having 20,000 of you in one studio, cutting it up, it'd be unforgettable! What a decade. Yup, opened this account in Dec 2013 😳.
🤒There was a time when this page went quiet, pre covid, and we blame ourselves for neglecting this page while dealing with depression. That s**t got the best of us ("God gives the hardest battles to his strongest soldiers"). Even in those troubling moments, sharing laughs in comments, and talking about this passion of ours, is always fun.
Yet, deep down, we feel like this special niche community has the potential to be so much more ❤️. So, it's time for a new chapter, a fresh start. The name "scratchmyinstagram" might not stand the test of time, especially since social media platforms come and go. Like myspace 😅
🥰So, today, with excitement and anticipation, we introduce to you the rebranded page and yeah, visit our new website too, www.turntablist.org . This is our dedication to this artform, for us, and for you, the devoted turntablist.
📱We opened a Discord server as well, and if you're interested, the link is in our bio. It's our space, no matter the skill level, where we can all "post a file" (iykyk), chill, network and cut it up fresh.
🚨Stay tuned to the website too. We went through a year of designing, procrastinating 😅, countless ecommerce provider trials, font licensing, sampling and cultivated some exclusive merch for you! We wanted to create a brand with classic essential designs for turntablists by turntablists. After using it for a few weeks here's our review:
Phenomenal sounds, outstanding graphics, beautiful color vinyl and overall a fantastic record. The samples inside will have you cutting for hours on end. The detail on quality for the brand's first release is a true statement to their vision and love for the art of turntablism. Thank you Israel for creating such an amazing product and it's safe to say this is pretty much the one weapon always ready on our portable turntable. Shoutout to producers & and visual artist who all killed it on this one
