Black Cat Events is the event partnership of Cat Blackwell and Matt King.

Cat began her event career founding and managing her own music and art festival at the age of 20. Following on from the festival she managed projects with the Cultural Team at The Mayor’s Office, City Hall and activity weekends with brands such as Diageo. Cat has managed events in some of the UKs most iconic venues, including The Royal Albert Hall and Alexandra Palace. These events have included: The BBC Proms, The James Bond Spectre Premiere, The Royal Variety Performance, The BAFTAs, Conferences for the Institute of Directors, dinners for The Royal Warrant Holders Association, and The Investment Manager of the Year Awards, Exhibitions for the Royal Yachting Association, The Fashion Awards, Film screenings, World Record events, gigs such as Jack White, Florence and The Machine and Alice Cooper, sporting events such as the PDC Darts as well as Weddings and smaller parties.

Matt's experience lies within creative construction management, although he has always had a passion for putting on a good party. As a Director in KD Productions, Matt took the company from being a small crew company and turned it into a major London events service provider. He has managed creative constructions for Bombay Saphire, The London College of Fashion, Bose, West End Theatre Shows, Formula One and Wilton's Music Hall. He has built ice rinks for The Tower of London and Hampton Court Palace, and designed and constructed bars for Winter Wonderland, Hyde Park. Most importantly, Matt designed and built Santa's Grotto at The Royal Albert Hall, where he met Cat...and the rest is history.
