“Rain or shine, you will be just as married at the end of the day.” I frequently say this to couples especially when they are seeking the perfect venue. I want couples to truly love their rain plan. During the planning process Kendra + Michael said they wanted to try to keep their ceremony in the garden as much as reasonably possible, so when a hurricane was moving up the coast we prepared all of the umbrellas. Guests would open their umbrellas + close their umbrellas throughout the heartfelt ceremony as misting intermittent storms passed overhead. After the ceremony, while escorting Kendra + Michael to tree coverage when the rain picked up for photos I asked the slightly soggy couple if they were happy they didn’t move the ceremony + Kendra’s response, “I wouldn’t have changed a thing!” I love how she embraced the weather, it’s beauty + everyone was so focused on loved ones surrounding them the rain was just another welcome guest.
