Anyone who has been on a dancefloor in recent years is likely to be familiar with the sophisticated and diverse production style of this well respected DJ and producer as his tracks have been released on some of the coolest labels around, supported by the world’s biggest DJ’s, from Pete Tong to Armin Van Buuren, licensed to over 100 compilations and rocked innumerable parties worldwide. Born in Au
stralia and always obsessed with music, he trained as a classical pianist, before moving on to study sound engineering and completing a Bachelor of Music as a vocalist. By the age of 18 he had a record deal as a solo artist and had performed all over Australia, supporting artists such as Bjork and The Prodigy on their tours of the Southern Hemisphere. Moving to London at the age of 20 he went on to record under various artist names including Antarctica (for seminal UK dance label React), Altitude (on legendary Belgian techno label Bonzai), Sound of Soho (with Eye Industries/ Universal) and Tremor (for the influential Progressive House imprint Platipus.) His career highlights include remixing artists such as R Kelly and James Brown, hosting a weekly radio show on the internet’s largest radio station for electronic music DI.FM, compiling and mixing albums such as The Art of Chill (Sony) and having several underground dance tracks break into the UK charts and subsequently licensed to major labels such as Sony and Universal. Now resident in Ibiza he travels the world DJ’ing international clubbing hotspots, playing warm soulful house and deep progressive with a unique twist: drawing on his classical background to perform live piano and vocals over his DJ sets. He has recently featured at major festivals worldwide such as Secret Garden Party (UK), Meadows in the Mountains (Bulgaria), Burning Man and Gratitude (USA). He has also been busy recording songs for a new band project called Islandia, featuring soaring vocals, indie guitars, beautifully crafted songwriting and his trademark cutting edge production skills.
