This event is a collaboration between StudioLorax and WenLan Fine Art, led by the talented artist WenLan, whose work has been exhibited at the prestigious De Young Museum. WenLan, a mom of two boys, is passionate about sharing her artistic talents, often volunteering for art classes in her free time. I am truly honored to collaborate with her for this beautiful event.
In this workshop, we will guide you step-by-step as you create a stunning painting of a little ballerina adorned with preserved flower decorations. By the end, you’ll have a framed piece of art to cherish, with space on the other side to display a memorable photo of your own little ballerina!

She’s the heart and soul of her family, having lovingly cared for all her grandchildren, and she brings joy to her entire village. Her love for flowers and vibrant dresses inspired me to pour all that warmth and beauty into a preserved floral frame.
I was so thrilled when the piece safely made its journey to Jamaica. Hearing how much Grandma and her family loved it filled my heart with so much happiness.
Being able to create something meaningful and tell her beautiful story through my art is truly one of the greatest joys for me.

They combined both pieces to make the cutest, personalized hats! To top it off, they could add fragrance oil to the sola flowers, making each hat not only beautiful but also wonderfully aromatic. ✨

About the studio
The name “Lorax” is inspired by the storybook of Dr. Suess the Lorax. The Lorax is the titular character, who "speaks for the trees." The story taught us in nature, every action has a reaction. I hope Studio Lorax is the place to make Earth friendly art, floral design, and party decoration. Currently, the studio offer kids art classes, floral workshop, and also custom nature loving party decoration for both kids and adults.
The owner : Hello~ my name is Mandi, a mom, a designer, and a florist.
After being a mom, I quitted my designer job and worked full time for my son, Ryker. We love being in the nature, but also learned many human harmful actions are damaged our earth, such as plastic oceans and destruction of ecosystem. I wish my boy can still swim in the clean ocean or see live animals when he grows up instead of buying plastic trees and fresh air like the Lorax story.
Opening the studio will be my dream to start designing again, but I also want to inspire more kids and adults to love our one and only earth a little more.
