Our final keynote presenter revealed! Liz Hart () is an award-winning event and television producer, educator, and entrepreneur. With expertise in television and live event production, Liz has worked on the most visible experiences in the world, including eight Times Square New Year's Eve Ball Drops, three Olympic Games, and six Super Bowl Halftime Shows, resulting in recognition from the Television Academy, the Producers Guild of America, AdWeek, BizBash, and more.

Most recently serving as the White House Deputy Social Secretary, Liz spent the past three years producing official events hosted by the President and First Lady, including Inauguration, four State Dinners, the Elton John Farewell concert at the White House, and more. She has provided strategic expertise in cultural diplomacy, communications, and logistical ex*****on across three presidential campaigns and national conventions, and diplomatic missions around the world.

With a lifetime passion for convening people and creating experiences, Liz began her career with the Disney Event Group, followed by years learning the trade in NYC and LA. She currently resides in both cities.

We’re going to introduce our event partners for DJ 2023 over the next few posts. It takes a village to put this thing together and we’re thankful for like-minded pros who collaborate with us on this project. For the 2nd year in a row, our A/V and Tech Partner is . They have a similar DNA to us in “breaking out of the cage” so with that being our theme in 2023, it was a no-brainer to ask them to be on board. If you saw last year’s mind-blowing set-ups, then you know they go above the “required”. They think beyond the gear and have an emphasis on telling the story through tech. We believe it was a catalyst for other educational shows stepping up their production game this year which is a win/win for the industry. Here’s to raising the bar yet again.

Dine-out sponsor? What’s a dine-out? If you’ve been to a DJC in the past, you’re familiar with our fireside chats which have ranged over the years from 30 minutes to 45 minutes to 60 minutes where you can pick the brains of some of our speakers, sponsors, talent and other DJs. This year we’re flipping it on its head. We’re buying out a restaurant, handling all of your food and drink and building in a 2 hour dinner for those chats on Tuesday night. Today we reveal our theme for DJC 2023. Sometimes these themes come to us immediately. Other times it’s based on where we are as an industry. And then there are times when its inspired by the location. This year it’s a combination of the three. The Starling Hotel (our accommodations partner) has these funky lighting canisters that represent bird cages (the starling, for those that don’t know, is bird). It caught our eye as soon as we walked in! We loved the lightbulbs being inside these cages and felt like this represented “caged ideas”. So the theme is….breaking out of the cage. Why feel trapped or limited by industry norms? Pushing boundaries is a catalyst for genuine innovation. It is a commitment to creative thinking, adaptability, and the pursuit of excellence. By doing so, we not only advance ourselves but also contribute to the progress of our vertical as a whole. You’ll see that theme throughout the entire week - from everything we planned, to our logo, to the event spaces, to the programming, to the speaker talks to the parties and talent, etc. 17 days and counting!!!

Having consulted and coached many DJC attendees, including 2 of our founders, and , we are excited to bring in to deliver a keynote. He is the Founder and President of The Business of Being Creative, a consulting firm focused on providing practical advice to those in the business of being creative. Prior to founding The Business of Being Creative in August 2009, Sean spent six years as the President of Preston Bailey Design, Inc. representing Preston in his business endeavors around the world. Sean has a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania and, apart from working with amazing creative professionals, his business acumen is honed from his previous experience as a lawyer, investment banker, financial executive and small business owner. Our final featured talent this year at is none other than - a producer and DJ best known for his catalog of remix bootlegs supported by many of the world's biggest DJs including Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Diplo, Hardwell, The Chainsmokers. Scene has released a number of original records through Fool's Gold, Sup Girl and Audiophile Records. In September 2021, Scene won Best Twitch Graphics for his weekly live streams. While it's easy to peg DJs into certain categories: The scratch-happy battle types, the commercially-minded radio guys, the shaman leading his flock at the club with a steady barrage of anthems, Scene is the rare DJ who has done all of the above. He has spent most of his time mastering every facet of DJ'ing and production. He is a DMC and Red Bull 3style Champion. He's curated #1 Commercial Radio shows in San Francisco and Seattle.
He's shared the stage with some of the largest acts in the world. All of this eventually caught the attention of the late DJ AM who ended up signing Scene to his original Deckstar roster and DJ crew. That's when the live touring started to take off. After constantly traveling outside of his native Seattle, Scene decided to relocate and make Las Vegas his home. He started at the original Light Nightclub (Bellagio) and quickly moved into other venues including Jet (Mirage) Wet Republic (MGM) Haze (Aria) Encore Beach Club (Wynn) Light (Mandalay Bay) Tao (Venetian).

Known for being unpredictable, SNAX is a multi DJ battle champion, DJs all over the country, is heard on radio mix shows, and was crowned the Boston Music Awards DJ of the Year '21. He's opened for and performed with the likes of Chris Brown, Lizzo, Waka Flocka Flame, Nick Cannon, and many more!

With DJC 2023 around the corner I thought I would be a good time to share my experience with past DJC events. I went to my first DJC back in 2019 in Scottsdale. I wasn't sure what to expect but I can tell you right now what I received is 1000 times better some of the things I learned in 2019 or exactly how I got my business to where I am today. I'm super grateful for what Joe, Jason and Brian have created. It's literally like no DJ conference in the world because it's not, it's an experience.
