We adore a themed wedding and the last 6 months gave us not one but TWO celestial-themed weddings.

Austin & Reagan’s wedding was a mash-up of star dust meets gothic dreams complete with 3D printed pearlescent light-up es**rt card “stars” with leather hand-stamped name tags (created by the groom!), tables lavished in luscious jewel tones, moon and stars plates, an ethereal cake draped in sugar “nebula” and a space dripping with gorgeous lighting. I had to contain myself from sharing ALL THE PICS because these two were **insert chef’s kiss** beautiful, magical, and so in love.

From the very beginning, J & A wanted not only a gorgeous wedding day but a celebration of their love story all the way from middle school to the creation of their beautiful, young family. Their first dance was MAGIC, friends. I wish you could have been standing there, soaking it in and crying happy tears along with, well, everyone. 🥰

Awwwww, the three amigos delirious after a styling shoot and filming a music video. This is the team that makes the little Mango Season choo-choo run, folks. That’s our Music Director Curtis on the left - awkwardly laughing ‘cause he HATES posing. Annie in the middle - truly laughing as it was my idea to all snuggle on the couch and I’m thrilled they all agreed. And, the heart beat of The Mangos, Jessica Sayno on the right, our Vendor Manager & Associate Coordinator before the little buggah moved to Vegas (she’s worked virtually for us since 2021). We’re small but mighty. 💪🏻🦾

THIS BOUQUET! Red was a significant color for the couple and we tastefully dropped hints of it throughout their design. Their florist was able to weave a tropical palette of scarlet, maroon, coral & ruby red into one sensational arrangement.

Remember that missile text alert scare back in 2018 where everyone in Hawaii received a text that Russian missiles were incoming and we had 30 minutes before impact?!? This wedding was the day AFTER that text. AND…it was the first wedding I ever planned!

Ok, quick story time — I was literally on the phone with the bride after getting that text and I said, “Well, let’s skip the ceremony rehearsal…I guess and…I love you? Good luck?” We both said I love you to each other before hanging up, it was unreal!! Then, 3 hours later, we were laughing/crying/hugging with each other at her parents’s house where almost the entire guest list had congregated to be with each other if anything happened. Still wild to me. Needless to say, the wedding day was a huge party and so full of emotion (as evidenced by this stunning picture of the groom waiting for his sweet bride to tap his shoulder for their first look)

🌺Alooooooooooooha Friday, IG friends! 🌺 Since it’s been a hot minute (or years) away from our socials, we’d like to do a proper re-introduction. We’re Annie & Curtis Kamiya, co-owners of Mango Season Weddings, a wedding planning & entertainment company based on the island of O’ahu. We are not only wedding planners but also performers for our live wedding band (and, trivia answer for later — that’s how we met in college, on stage singing together…awwwwww!). As our lead vocalist, Annie loves when wedding guests belt out the song right along with her, sometimes joining them Karaoke style on the dance floor. And Curtis, our lead guitarist and music director, loves feeling that electricity when the band is just killing it together, having fun and spilling that electricity over to our guests. We perform every musical genre under the sun and love a musical challenge. Currently working on some acoustic Daft Punk songs for a couple’s First Dance and it’s going to be 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥! Happy Hump Day, my friends! Meet our everything (and team mascot) Norimaki Momilani Kamiya. You can call her Nori for short. 😉 When not hard at work planning/coordinating weddings or performing at them, we spend our very own airing moment with this sausage peanut snuggle rocket. In fact — and if you’re a dog/cat parent you know — every dollar we make goes to her (hah!). Seven beds in one room? ✅ The most expensive pre/probiotics for her gut health? ✅ Grass-fed beef treats from the Big Island? Ummmmm ✅✅ Thank you Uncle for introducing us to the best dog photographer on island, Auntie (she’s is worth every penny and even comes to your house to artfully hang your final prints…swoon alert)

Happy Valentine’s Day, kiddos! Got kinda nostalgic knowing that 2024 for us marks 20 years married and 27 years of Valentines (ok, who am I kidding…we’re not necessarily romantic but Curt made me chicken soup today cause I’m sick.
