🚨 DJ Conversion Utility 7.0 is here! 🚨

I'm excited to announce that native conversion to Algoriddim djay Pro 5 is back in this release! 🎉 A lot has changed behind the scenes—DJCU no longer relies on iTunes/Music to create playlists; instead, it generates them directly within djay Pro! 🎵

Important: Tracks must still be part of the djay Pro collection before conversion. To help with this, I’ve created two brand new tutorials:

I'm thrilled to announce that my tools for integrating with DJ software are now fully compatible with Mixed in Key 11!

🎧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐤𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐮𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥 (𝐓𝐂𝐊): You can now seamlessly add Mixed in Key analyzed cues to your Traktor tracks without losing any of your manually set cues.

🎶 𝐑𝐞𝐤𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐛𝐨𝐱 𝐂𝐮𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥 (𝐑𝐞𝐂𝐊): Add Mixed in Key analyzed cues to Rekordbox 6/7 tracks without any XML hassle, keep your manual cues intact, and synchronize cues between the hot bank and memory bank for perfect consistency.

Both tools also allow you to create sortable comment fields featuring your choice of Key, BPM, and Energy Level.

DeCU and DeXT Now Support Engine DJ/OS 4.1 – Important Compatibility Info Before Updating!

The latest versions of the Denon Conversion Utility (DeCU) and Denon eXtractor Tool (DeXT) are now compatible with Engine DJ/OS 4.1. These updates are free for licensed users, and you'll be notified of their availability on the apps' opening screens.

For compatibility purposes, I’ll continue to provide the older versions of my apps that support Engine DJ versions below 4.1, but please note that these versions will no longer receive active updates.

Before updating to 4.1, keep the following in mind:
- Engine DJ/OS 4.1 is not backward compatible with previous versions of Engine DJ. Which excludes DJs on older Apple computers from being able to update to Engine DJ 4.1.
- On macOS, Engine DJ 4.1 requires macOS 13.0 (Monterey), which only runs on Apple computers produced in the last 7 years.
- Once a drive has been used with Engine DJ 4.1 (whether on gear or a computer), it will no longer be compatible with earlier versions of Engine DJ.

If you're working with DJs using older gear or equipment shared among various DJs, you may want to consider holding off on the update to maintain compatibility with older versions.

Oh, in their infinite wisdom, Denon DJ decided to change the database with the release of Engine OS/Engine DJ 4.1. This new database is not back-worth compatible with earlier versions of Engine DJ/OS. As a result, the Denon Conversion Utility (DeCU), Denon eXtractor Tool (DeXT) and DJ Conversion Utility Streaming (DJCU/s) are no longer compatible with any version 4.1 or higher.

If you're using an earlier version, you're in luck—it still works just fine. You can always downgrade, but don’t forget to restore an older collection database if you've already updated to Engine DJ/OS 4.1.

As for what exactly changed and whether it's fixable... well, I haven’t had the pleasure of digging into that yet, so no promises! But it is first on my list after Amsterdam Dance Event.

It took a bit longer than expected, but the DJ Conversion Utility (DJCU) with 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐣𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨 𝟓 is now ready for testing! 🎉

✅ 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬:
- Cues (with color & name)
- Loops (with names)
- Track color
- Playcount
- Star rating

This version brings back the 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐞𝐤𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐛𝐨𝐱.𝐱𝐦𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐣𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨 𝟓 conversion, which means tracks must already be in your djay collection and analyzed. Plus, 𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐂 𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 is back! 🔥

So, why the delay? 🤔 DJCU now also converts 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 to djay Pro 5! During my recent AMA (link below), I ran into some challenges with FLAC support, but now full FLAC compatibility is enabled by recreating playlist structures directly in djay Pro.
