NOW OPEN: The Hotel AKA Alexandria had its soft opening last month and invited and friends to come for a tour and MAN, I was impressed! The AKA brand is mostly apartment style hotel rooms and Alexandria is all hotel and all Brand New! Designed by architect and designer , the hotel is modern, minimalistic, and dark surrounded by lush gardens and an outdoor courtyard of an event planner’s dreams! Just look at this Lobby Bar Mamacloud designed by ! Swoon!

Follow me this week as I introduce the newest hotel in Old Town Alexandria. With 180 guest rooms, 15 specialty suites, and 4400 sq feet of meeting space, this property is a welcomed addition to the historic city!

260 Grad is a stunning location with 260 degree city views. Located on the 7th floor at Mercedes Platz, their terrace and bar have stunning views of the Spree River and East Side Gallery. Hire the venue for events or private parties. Access is up an express elevator for your guests only! This would be the perfect off-site for guests at the NHow Berlin or Michelberger Hotel.

My final share on the Michelberger’s Hotel in Berlin is highlighting their OUTSTANDING courtyard, the perfect space for meetings, co-working, girls night, you name it. With a mix of sun and shade in the Summer, the courtyard hosts concerts, food & wine pop-ups and the Wine Bar and Restaurant terrace. In the winter, relax by the fire or strip down and sink into the barrel sauna. Be sure to follow so you don’t miss out on their events!

The Michelberger’s Hideout Suite is one of the most unique in Berlin. With a king sized bed for adults and a sweet loft for kids, the whole family will enjoy it. This room has a SAUNA!! In the room! There’s a bathtub for two in the living room, shower in the bathroom and a gorgeous sauna to warm up after Berlin winter tourism. Kitchen, minibar, projector for a tv, dining table, this suite has endless potential! Would you sleep here?

The Michelberger’s cosy room is just that. A place to lay your head after a long adventure exploring the city. With only the basics of a bed, shower, and tv, budget guests are very content spending much of their time in public areas. After a sauna in the courtyard, retreat to your warm bed and rest for tomorrow’s big adventure. Or, upgrade to a Suite and be surprised… Coming Friday, the Hideout.

The Michelberger Hotel serves sustainable products sourced from their own fields at in Spreewald plus other farm-to-table producers. The dining room is the perfect place for an intimate wedding, small meeting, or a delicious brunch. Since my visit, they have opened 4 meeting spaces with the Whisky room and Studio@being my favorite. They now have a great board room for 14 or meeting spaces for 30-100 guests.

The city of Berlin is known for its for it’s funky artistic appeal and there is no hotel better matched than the Michelberger Hotel. If you prefer to host guests at independent family-owned hotels, this is one of the most unique, artistic, and sustainable properties that I toured in the city. The warm light-filled lobby with the relaxed lounge sofa and bookshelves is the perfect spot to cowork, meet colleagues, and relax. A client booked this venue for a destination wedding from Sweden and fell in love with it the minute we walked inside. Just wait until you see the Hideout Suite with built-in sauna that was booked for the Honeymoon suite!

MS Diva is one of my favorite boats on the Spree. Whether it’s a wedding, birthday, corporate event, business meeting, or seminar, Diva is set to impress! Fitting 140 people in the summer on the upper and lower decks, this venue is ideal for intimate events. She is docked near Treptower Park where she has a gorgeous restaurant on the water. The best part is, she is a family owned boat that has been floating the Berlin waterways for 14 years. The indoors is heated for winter activities and seats 60 plus there are 2 restrooms for your guests. If you want to try before you buy, they host Sunday brunches And city tours on most weekends, so check it out! Don’t you love how it screams FALL IS HERE!

Das Boothaus is such a great venue on the river Spree. This party house can fit 250 guests and the only way in is by boat! The boathouse is over 100 years old and is a pleasant 30 minute cruise from the .berlin. Pop a tent up waterside and you can host 300 guests. MS Rhein and MS Sir Peter dock here and could be a great way to provide quiet romantic space on the water. Weddings, birthdays, and other events would be unforgettable here!

Picking a hotel on the Spree means you can host an event on the river! The MS Rhein and the MS Peter are two examples of historic ships that you can book for your guests. MS Rhein was built in 1925 and can fit up to 120 guests. And the MS Sir Peter can fit 30. Both with on board catering and built in bars, your guests will have an unforgettable view of the city of Berlin from the water. There are docks throughout the city for your guests to be picked up and impressed!

The Nhow hotel is just at the end of the East Side Gallery in Berlin. With more than 100 paintings on what was the east side of the Berlin wall, the art is commentary on political changes in Germany. Dimitri Vrubel’s Fraternal Kiss is one of the most popular works of art. Your guests will leave the music hotel and walk for 1.3 meters to enjoy art and culture. I loved photographing clients along this strip with !

Welcome to the music floor! This part of the hotel has the largest suite with access to a nice sized meeting room, patio, and Baldwin piano. Check out the living room of the suite! How can you not create gorgeous music from this room?! This area is the perfect set up for brainstorming and creativity. Imagine what your group could get done on this floor! I could relax for an hour in that tub with views of the Spree!

The rooms at Nhow Berlin are super groovy! From the waves on the ground to the waves on the walls to the pink linens, this hotel screams rock ‘n’ roll! With 304 guestrooms, including premium rooms and suites, this hotel is a great location for a millennial heavy event. Did you know they have a guitar room service? You can order a guitar, keyboard, or Bluetooth speaker up to your room, at no additional cost!

The Nhow Berlin offers 12 function rooms that can hold up to 750 people. The best part is, they all have gorgeous windows offering natural light. With access to the Spree terraces, it is an ideal location for a barbecue or a summer event. The conference room has floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the river and the Terrace. With names like Soul, Jazz, Music Lounge, and Music Hall, the theme of a music hotel continues into the meeting spaces. Spaces like these make it easy for your group to think out of the box!

Think pink! Making the Nhow Berlin an art space was quite easy for designer Karim Rashid. He wanted to make the music inspired Hotel tactile and a truly immersive experience of color, texture, and vibrancy. How do you think he did? These public areas are stunning! With the dramatic reception desk of a high gloss fiberglass sculpture that flows into the hotel bar and lounge, guests have a difficult time keeping their eyes still. I love how the buffets match the front desk.

I watched locals enjoy the lobby DJ, businessmen discuss deals in the restaurant, and families checking into their rooms. The diversity of this hotel fit in so well in Berlin.
