Shane and Mandy Johnson are the duo couple behind Onward Productions! They are busy parents to 5 kids & 2 dogs. They both have a love and passion for strengthening families.
In 2014 they decided to put their passion into action. They saw a need to give youth, parents and families important tools to push ONWARD through hard times. They wanted to provide a platform for messengers that teach these tools. They have learned through their own trials that it is easier to push ONWARD through difficult times while looking up at Heaven & Following the Savior.
The Johnson’s host events with special aim to help youth, marriages & women.
The event for youth ages 12-17 is called “MILLENNIAL WARRIOR TRAINING” With this event, they are anxious to help reduce the number of teen suicides.
They implement the 4 steps in their events that were outlined by President Russell M. Nelson in a talk that he give to YSA in 2016 called “Becoming True Millennials”.
Those 4 steps are:
Learn Who You Really Are
Expect-And Prepare To Accomplish The Impossible
Learn How to Access The Power of Heaven
Follow The Prophets
The Johnson’s believe that one of the best gifts that we can offer our youth is a strong marriage for their parents. This inspired them to create “Date Night”, an event where speakers teach tools, give instruction, share stories & give inspiration to married couples. These events are the most popular so far. Couples laugh, cry and connect as they refocus on the importance of their relationship.
The newest addition to their events is a women’s event called UP! It’s a one day event with Key Note speakers and breakout workshops where women can come together to lift, strengthen and empower each other. Topics range from confidence, organization, parenting, self love and acceptance, nutrition and spiritual topics. There are also vendors at UP! Mostly comprised of women with home based businesses.
They have plans of doing other events in the future focusing on strengthening the family including specific events that help the most vulnerable age group…. The Young Single Adults.
While Onward Productions events are LDS based they hope to be able to reach out with welcoming arms to others with similar beliefs & values. They wish to be a bridge to strengthen not only families but community’s as a whole.
