DANCE CLASS INFO 💌📣 Thursdays 6:30-8pm

💃💃💃 May & June Belly dance 101:
I’m excited to dance with you this summer throughout May & June! We’ll lightly touch on a few topics in single classes for these two months, by focusing on having fun with variety. Some of these classes will include: exploring slow slinky movements, exciting drum solo combos, a little Egyptian Shaabi, American Cabaret styling with Turkish flair, an introduction to intermediate level concepts and more!

☀️July break:
In sunny July we’ll break for classes, everyone enjoy your month!

🤩✨August Full Demo class 22nd:
I will hold 1 special demo class on August 22nd. Treat this class like a party! This will be a great for anyone curious about belly dance classes and thinking of trying something new after summer. The class will have an introduction for beginners, a brief explanation of the various dance styles under the umbrella term belly dance, some beautiful and catchy music, and some fun new moves to learn that you never knew your body could do!

Classes will start up again as usual in September

⭐️ I had lots of fun last night seeing new faces and dancing with you all! Forgive me if I was a bit frazzled, the new year has me incredibly busy but I’m so excited to continue to share belly dance with the local community!

If you attended last nights class as a drop in and would like to continue for the rest of the January session, or if you haven’t tried it yet but would still like the chance to sign up, (3 more classes at $16 each), you should be able to sign up for the session for $48 with Wilmington Island Park District, by calling them or visiting the front desk. The last class of this session is Feb 1st. If you prefer, you can drop in any class for $20.

I teach every Thursday evening 6:30-8pm. Currently, sign up is available through the end of February.

Stay warm by practicing your hip shimmy, and I’ll see you next week! ✨💖

If you're wanting to simply drop in to any single class, you can do that too at the front desk right before class begins. Its $64 for all 4 classes or $20 to drop in to one. About Casandra Corette

Casandra Corette is a solo Middle Eastern Dance performance artist and instructor residing in western Washington State, USA. Her dance styling is Modern American Cabaret with heavy traditional Egyptian influences.

Education and Work Experience

Casandra has studied Middle Eastern Dance for over 9 years and has performed professionally since 2013 at various venues and family friendly celebrations including restaurants, theaters, weddings, corporate parties, festivals, birthday & graduation parties, and filmings. She received her early dance education primarily from Hawaii’s popular belly dance artist Malia Delapenia, and is a former member of Malia’s professional dance company Belly Dancers In Paradise. She has taken many live workshops from many famous belly dance performers and master teachers from various countries, including countries in the Middle East. She continues her education by studying with master instructors, as they visit the PacNW area and provide opportunities for her to further her understanding of the dance and culture.

Casandra entertained regularly at Kan Zaman Restaurant‘s two locations in Honolulu from 2014-2017, before her move to WA at the beginning of 2018. She was a member of the non-profit organization Middle Eastern Dance Artists of Hawaii (MEDAH) and enjoyed working with the local dance community and entertaining the public. Starting Jan 2018, she entertained monthly at Petra Bistro Mediterranean Restaurant in Seattle until mid 2019, and she presently performs every couple of months at Harissa Mediterranean Cuisine in Seattle with a live band. She enjoys entertaining and teaching in the Puget Sound area, and is enjoying helping to build a strong belly dance community in Kitsap County.
