If you were wondering where the "Marie" in Kayla Marie Photography came from, that is actually my middle name. I started interest in photography when I started to take pictures just with my cell phone. I'm just a simple girl, in love with taking pretty pictures. I would love to capture the special moments and memories that you will look back on and cherish.

10 years ago today.. I decided to create a business page called Kayla Marie Photography and take on the adventure of capturing moments that matter most ♥️
On this big anniversary, I had something happen that really made me proud of what I do and how far I’ve come..

I am one of the winners for Couples Choice Awards and Best of Weddings! I came in the top 15 of Kansas City wedding photographers on both The Knot and The Wedding Wire. I am super super honored and grateful for anyone and everyone who helped me grow my business, especially this past year 🫶🏻

As I approach 10 years of building my business, it is time to show my passion in real time!

I am so absolutely grateful each day I get to do what I love. Photography has been such a huge part of majority of my life. I’m incredibly lucky to be able to do this full time and be apart of such special moments! 🫶🏻

The Yuille Family

Cheyanne was my first “guinea pig” back in 2014 when I first started photography. We talked about how one day, I will be her wedding and family photographer. We were just 13 & 16 at the time. Now almost 9 years later, that dream came true!
I met baby Nova and my heart was so full. Seeing Cheyanne and Patrick as parents genuinely melts my heart!

The best feeling in the entire world is seeing how much fun my clients have at our shoots😭! My #1 goal is to make it a comfortable environment to be yourselves. To capture true emotion and make real memories. If you are goofy, BONUS! Me and DJ (groom to be in pictures) related heavily on Spongebob quotes and went back and forth with them 😂

My first bridal session! None of my brides have ever mentioned wanting a bridal session. But after the shoot, I loved documenting Karah as a bride in a more relaxed setting without the craziness of the wedding day!

I can not handle all of this cuteness and love!! I did Amy and Jesse's wedding back when I was 15 in 2016. I got to meet their little family and I can not even explain how full my heart is right now!! 🥺

Lilah was such a good baby and I have loved doing more at home newborn sessions. The team work and love from these two melted my heart! I noticed in the last photo that you can see mama through Lilah's eyes and I had to include it in their final gallery. Thankyou for having me and including me in such a big moment in your guys lives. I am so lucky to do what I do 🥺❤

To say this shoot was fun would be an understatement! It was super cold but they were troopers and the snuggles definitely helped 🥰 I have a special place in my heart for my goofy couples ☺️It makes my heart so happy that these two are now ENGAGED!!! Now starts the countdown for the big day!!

When we had our first meeting, Ahvi told me about their love for books. I immediately knew we had to do something special with books in their engagement shoot! We also both read each others mind about shooting in a greenhouse too. I loved their chemistry and you can definitely can tell they are in love just from these photos!❤📚
