Our baby girl is here and we couldn’t be more in love with her. Born September 9! We love you little red headed munchkin! We’re all doing well and settling into life as a bigger family.

Our time in Denmark brought us a little extra souvenir! Baby Davis coming early October. Mom and baby are doing well and trying to survive this NC heat after spending a year in Scandinavia. The rest of the year will be spent bringing this baby into the world and snuggling. Can’t wait to see what the next year unfolds for our family.

I cried the day we sold our van in the US (long story but it was our last tangible thing there - it made our move real). But our mode of transportation here is good for my soul (and physical health). Read more over on

We are officially feeling settled into life in Copenhagen 🇩🇰 Life update below and continued in stories.
🇩🇰We’ve been here two weeks and have grocery shopping, directions, and public transportation pretty much figured out. We LOVE not having a car and the ability to get anywhere on a bike, walking, bus or metro. We can see the bus stop from our apartment and the metro is a 3 minute walk.
🇩🇰 We’re seeing the end of being done with setting up everything like phone numbers, bank accounts, residency cards, etc.. that stuff isn’t fun and makes everything a lot harder to figure out.
🇩🇰 We haven’t hit the tourist spots yet as we are trying to learn our neighborhoods and explore pizza places for our tradition of Friday night pizza night.
🇩🇰We are touring kindergartens(Danish equivalent for preschool) and Alden should start within the next week or so!
🇩🇰A simple bed sheet is hard to find here. Our apartment doesn’t have A/C and I most definitely do not want these hot duvets right now. Denmark is experiencing abnormal hot days but we can start to feel the chilly temperatures coming. Plus it isn’t humid so it’s a reprieve from NC.

We made it to Denmark! 🇩🇰We're resting in a hotel today before moving into our apartment tomorrow. And let me be the first to say that managing this amount of stuff is a feat and one I'm very proud of Michael and I for accomplishing. But Barley was the true MVP. He did amazing and I've never been so anxious in my life as I was the last 20 minutes to pick him up.

Adventure is bittersweet. It holds the possibility of so much and the goodbyes to wonderful things and people simultaneously. This cake however nothing but sweet! The spindle cake stand was a prioritized design element in making this whimsical garden wedding come to life.

I could not have dreamed of a better wedding to end on before my time away.

Why? Because 1) Erin + Sam trusted me and the process. It truly makes all the difference when I'm given the empowerment to make decisions and serve them to the fullest. 2) Erin + Sam are teammates. They were never far from each other the entire day and night. They were like moons always within each other's orbit. Their love radiated. 3) It was Fun! A wedding I would want to crash. 4) There were a lot of logistical pieces including starting the ceremony 10 minutes early to beat the rain. It's great to feel so proud about what the vendor team and I accomplished for them!

Happy THIRD Birthday! I cannot believe that 3 years ago you changed our world. Being your mama has been a great calling upon my life and I'm so thankful I get to snuggle you every day and hold your hand. I'm grateful you call my name when you skin your knee or want ice cream! You've made us humbler and shown us our need for Jesus everyday. You are the best reflection of your mama, daddy and birth family. I love you so much and pray your joy never ceases!

🇩🇰We're moving to Denmark🇩🇰

Our little family has been presented with the opportunity to move to Denmark for a year with Michael's job. We leave in August and are truly so excited to live among the Danes and soak up their approach to life!

For the wedding world, I'll be back in a year and I'm super thankful all my clients are taken care of and luckily I only had one this year that fell past our leave date.

I'll post life updates and travel along here but will have a lot more on my personal account - give me a follow there for the full experience :)

My last wedding on this side of Denmark is July 16 and it's one of my all time favorites! I can't wait to celebrate Erin + Sam and soak it all in.

For now, I'll be packing and figuring out how to move a dog, a toddler, and all of us across the world. It's been quite stressful and bittersweet (and honestly hard) so far but we know it will be worth it. Our home will be up for short term rentals so keep us in mind for your travel needs.

What do you see when you look at this picture? I see a gorgeous bouquet.....AND the florist, the delicate matching of the ribbons, the dress boutique, the dress maker, the alterations, the farmer who grew the flowers, the makeup artist, the photographer, the photographer's assistant, the planner, the planner's assistant, the hundreds of emails and hours of phone calls that make this photo happen. So honored and grateful to see my work in print in this years magazine! I'm incredibly late in posting this but I didn't want to not take the moment to pause and reflect.

It's truly incredible to be chosen amongst my team as the wedding to feature and then to be chosen by Heart of NC. This feature is also a testament to hard work, dedication, commitment to flexibility and teamwork, love for what you do, and that wedding planning (and the whole industry) is truly a profession for the talented. This wedding challenged everything in me and in our industry. Covid took everything I knew and turned it upside down then threw it away then stomped on it and then changed it all again five minutes later. The couple, Mackenzie and Andrew, were truly a dream and made the client experience truly wonderful, especially as we navigated unchartered waters together. Thank you to every single person involved in this wedding and making this achievement happen!
