As I ironed my shirt for today’s wedding, I was thinking about wedding attire. I’ve seen a lot of changes and shifts when it comes to wedding attire. I stick with the classic slacks and button up (and depending on season, I may even suit it up). These days, I have given up on dress shoes as being on my feet and running all evening, the support of solid sneakers means the world to me. But I know some people wear company polos. Some are more casual. I love my t-shirt with a sport jacket, but usually keep that for other types of events. What are your expectations of attire for a wedding DJ?

It’s Halloween! So the unexpected highlight of my spooky season was discovering that I had become a costume. And that Sabrina’s costume won the Eric Fisher costume contest! I have been doing events for Eric Fisher for years now so the costume identified pretty well. I have laughed all week long.
So, what to do for Halloween night. I decided that I would see how close I could get! Shout out to Jennifer for the last minute assist on the shirt!
The funniest part was checking out of the costume store with the completely unnecessary skull cap and fake moustache. The clerk just looked down at the items, then back to my face, then back at the items. I could see the confusion settling in as he just didn’t understand what was going on.

Man. I haven’t had a gig quite like this in a while (or a weekend, for the matter). 28 hrs over 3 days of open to public all ages DJing, hosting, and just doing whatever is needed can to make sure every artist, vendor and visitor to the Wichita Emerald City Tattoo Expo had a great time. Blessed to have been able to be a guest to such an amazing community, and def feel like a part of it after all that time logged. Can’t wait to run this one back in the near future!
Huge thanks to Bryan & Jessica for reaching me out and having me be a part of such a stellar event.

So I was just doing my job, hosting at the Wichita Emerald City Tattoo Expo and shouting out some of our amazing sponsors, when I see a blur coming at me. I thought it just another kid going crazy, but then it dawned on me. My nemesis… we were once on the same side, but this traitor was coming at me full speed. I knelt into a fighting position, ready for a war. He came in swinging and we met fist to fist. We’ll, he got the better of me. And then he had the nerve to flaunt his newfound power gem.
Seriously though, this made my day. I even taunted him a bit during the costume contest, and despite me telling the crowd to boo him, they had the nerve to cheer for him, and they booed for me?!?
It was certainly a memorable weekend at the tattoo convention. I had a blast as DJ and host.

What a freaking weekend! Shout out to me DJ homies that helped me out or I got to help out! We covered T-Mobile, Wichita Emerald City Tattoo Expo, Carousel Skate Center 50 year anniversary party, Tallgrass Film Association awards and I crashed the Jerry’s Bar & Grill party that Party Rockerz ICT put on. From setup to teardown, I put in 40+ hours from Friday to Sunday and I have no idea why I am awake on Monday morning. Huge shouts to all the DJ homies I linked with this weekend and helped make it possible! DJ Magnum, Zeb The DJ, Justin Skratch, J Superj , freaking rock stars!

Got to see Fert The Foodie on night 1 along with a bunch of other familiar faces. And we still have 3 more nights at Botanica. Per The Kansas Gastronomist weather forecast, it should be pretty ideal on any given night. Hope to see some more of you. I’ll be there Thursday and Friday and DJ Panda ICT will be rocking it on Saturday.
