Hello! I've made a special mixtape, just for you. This is the best of 2021. It has all of the best songs from this year.

As you may know, I am a nontraditional wedding DJ in NYC. I DJ many weddings per year. I discovered some of these songs while DJing for my very cool clients.

Outdoor wedding ceremonies! A lot of the couples who I work with want to have their ceremony outside. In the country, in the city, outdoor ceremonies are really popular.

A few DJ tips about outdoor ceremonies:

- If you have over 30 guests, your officiant should use a microphone
- Many speakers are battery powered, so you don't necessarily need electricity
- If you are in a city or by water, your DJ should consider using a wired mic. There's always the chance of interference when using a wireless mic.
- Most officiants like to use a mic stand because they are holding a book. And the mic stand will hide the mic's wire.
- Always have a plan B in case of rain or intense heat

This photo was taken at Handsome Hollow in the Catskills. They have a beautiful space in the woods for your ceremony. The venue provides a battery-powered speaker, microphone and mic stand.
