About

Claudia Phoenix is based in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, and has been making costumes since 2012, starting with medieval reenactment outfits for herself and her family. She discovered cosplay in 2014 and instantly became deeply enthralled with it-- loving the creativity, the joy of becoming characters, and the massive range of skills she could learn and apply.

She studied a Diploma of Costume in 2018 to further her skills and knowledge. She has experience in design and research, translating 2D designs to reality, flat and draped patternmaking, numerous embellishment techniques, couture sewing, fabric manipulation, and more.

In 2019 she has taken the step of making cosplay commissions full time. So far this year she has won awards at Madman Anime Festival and Smashcon with costumes she has made, and worked as a cosplayer for the official Fortnite booth at Sydney Supanova.
