Hello! We hope you enjoy this Post that is aimed at anyone passionate about making Neapolitan style Pizza?! The video shows a number of clips filmed over around half an hour.
Due to an Event being cancelled we used some of the leftover Dough for training in hand-stretching techniques. Richard and Sophia stretched out multiple Pizza bases and Sophia made some great progress in this time. We are confident she will be a future Pizza Maker for us!

Hello! - Following on from what proved to be a popular and rewarding concept in February Half-term we are excited to announce 3 x Dates for more ‘Dough Stars’ Workshops in the Summer Holidays.
- Thursday 10th August 2023
- Monday 21st August 2023
- Thursday 31st August 2023
In this Pizza making Workshop children (Aged 7- 12) will learn all the stages of how to make a Neapolitan-Style Pizza. We will start by providing each child with their own Apron to use at the session and will give them a disposable Paper Chef’s Hat that they can customise with pens! We will then provide full instruction on how to make the special Neapolitan Pizza Dough. The children will make their own special Dough in a traditional Italian Dough Mixing Box called a ‘Madia’.
We’ll also bring our own freshly made Dough to the Workshop and will teach the children how to hand-stretch a Dough Ball to make their own Pizza for lunch using a special Pizza Oven. The Pizza will cook in only 90 seconds!
After the Dough has proofed at the venue the children will ball up the Dough and will be given some Dough Balls to take home. At the end of the session all will be given a special ‘Dough Stars’ Certificate of Attendance!
The location for the Pizza Workshop is Colbury Scout Hall near to Totton and Ashurst in the New Forest. Post Code: SO407EJ. Directly accessible from main road links.

First Summer Holidays Dough Stars Workshop is on Thursday 10th August 2023 at Colbury Scout Hall (SO407EJ) 11am - 2pm. 2 spaces have already been booked for this date leaving 10 left. Price is £30 for a total Neapolitan Pizza making experience. One question we’ve been asked is if Adults need to stay at the session? The answer is Adults are welcome to stay but this isn’t compulsory. In the last Workshop we did in February the 3hrs literally fly by! The Scout Hall venue is well equipped. The children will be provided with refreshments and of course Pizza for lunch that they’ve made themselves! We are a Family Business - our own children are part of the Crew/Tuition Team and will be attending the session themselves. Any questions please feel free to DM. Thank you. 🙏
The Summer of ‘Pizza Love’ has well and truly begun!!! This Facebook Reel is our first attempt at Voiceover by Richard… Head over to our Instagram Page if you’d like a more musical version…?!!! A new Reel for you to hopefully enjoy?! 3 x Events now completed with a dedicated ‘Panuozzo’ Menu, only. Verdict? Thankfully successful on the whole! To simplify things we’ve offered a concise Menu offering some classic choices with the ability to add: Pesto Drizzle, Rocket and Hot Honey as complimentary extras to make a Panuozzo even more tasty! Is the Panuozzo the ‘Ultimate Pizza Sandwich’? - We think so!!!‘Nduja, Kalamata Olives and Vegan Cheese are all £1 extra additions. Our last Event offered fresh ‘Nduja di Spilinga from our specialist ingredient suppliers @rossiinternationalltd from nearby Wimborne! We aim to please! The Reel shows us set up at the Events we’ve attended and even some logistical challenges of gaining access to Events (Emergency Hedge Trimming!). Our Catering Trailer (Solar Energy) and even our wood-fired Oven was made by us in our dedication to the Neapolitan Craft! We are a multi-generation family Pizza Business and love the social side of Hospitality! Some recent Pizza we’ve made using the same freshly made special Neapolitan Dough are also in the Reel. This is as fresh as you can get! Reality check…(!) A pause for thought to thank everyone for supporting us either by following on Social Media or as a Customer! We are a family business and have a passion for making Neapolitan-style Pizza and now Panuozzi (Pizza Sandwiches). We always make our own Dough and have even made our own Ovens to cook in! Pizza News! Something new for 2023!Hello friends and supporters of Pizza Round. We’ve recently been developing a new product that we intend to try at certain larger-scale Events this year. The new product (for us!) is another Neapolitan classic in the form of a ‘Panuozzo’. Think Panini, think Pitta but much much better…! Friends, this product has been a real eye opener for us. The Panuozzo uses the same freshly made Pizza Dough that is initially cooked as a type of plain flat bread, later cut in half and then filled with your desired topping before being warmed in a special wood-fired oven. Soft and crunchy at the same time…? - You bet!!! This product can be quickly prepared and served ready to eat. We believe it will cut down queue times and will be a really efficient product to make when demand is high. Don’t get us wrong, Pizza is still our first love and a Panuozzo ‘is’ a Pizza product… It just seems that certain situations will make the Panuozzo a more viable proposition to keep our lovely customers happy! We’ve now trialled Panuozzi (plural!) made using our favoured blend of Italian ‘00’ Flour and local Hampshire Eling Tide Mill Flour. This gives the Dough great flavour and also health benefits. As a Hampshire business it’s really great to use a locally produced Flour as well. We are likely to offer around 4 different types of Panuozzo at each event. Some will be of a classic Menu type and others will be seasonal or local specials. Price wise, although not fully decided yet, it’s highly likely a Panuozzo and Drink could still give you change from £10! As always, we aim to give you something special at a good price!We’re really looking forward to offering Panuozzi to you! Getting organised for the Dough Stars Workshop on Monday February 13th in Half-term!
Schedule for the day now worked out! Dough making and eat your own hand-stretched Pizza for lunch form some of what we’re going to do on the day!
We’re even making some authentic Italian Dough ‘Madia’ boxes out of some quality un-treated Pine. This is what the children will use to make their own Dough and then let it prove in the boxes before balling up some Dough to take home.
Every child will get a Certificate of Attendance and a laminated Dough Recipe sheet with explanatory method.
We’re really looking forward to the Event. We now have potential to do another Workshop at the same Colbury Scout Hall venue later in the week on Wednesday 15th February - More to come on this idea!
