Only way to take my mind off the pain is to take strong pain killers that mask the pain then distract myself by talking about it!

I keep a diary of my journey but I find myself jotting down the same symptoms! However I have a new symptom today ..

Today I can’t lift my left leg - Great! Officially a cripple!

Posted this a little late 🤣🤦‍♀️

However, I’ve been really struggling without my business!
Feel a little lost like I’ve completely lost my personality, don’t get me wrong I love my job now and I’ve been able to get a new prospective on things! But wow do I miss my balloon company! I’ve been trying to clear out some bits I haven’t really ever used and have a clear up, try getting my room back to a bedroom, makes me sad that I won’t see any of your little ones grow now from doing their birthday stacks from like baby showers to ages 3/4 etc 😭

Has anyone else ever made a big step and felt similar?

Saying goodbye to a job you love is the hardest! Believe me!

This has to be the hardest post I’ve ever written! I don’t even know where to start or know if it will make sense haha
It’s time to put down the balloons and hang up my air pump, & wipe my tears, as I say goodbye to my ooh la la balloons journey!

This journey has been, the best & stressful ( I won’t lie lol) but yet rewarding job! I got to follow my dreams and I’m so proud of myself for doing it and even when times were hard I never gave up! along this journey i fell in love & got married! Became a dog mum, was diagnosed with endometriosis, and has been hit with a lot of first’s! I’ve always had the biggest support from my family and most of all you guys!
I wouldn’t have ever followed this dream if it wasn’t for you and your continued support, you are what made this possible! I can’t thank you enough.
Saying bye to a business that I’ve put every second of effort in for such a long time has been really tough and it’s not been easy to come to this decision & part of me is still wondering if I can live without the craziness of self employment but I think it’s time for me to give back to my family and have a life of my own! It’s so hard juggling family & friends when you’re always tied up with no days off, this year is my final Ooh la la year and I can’t believe it ahh!!!
My future however does looks bright with the thanks to the northorpe barn for taking a chance on me and employing me as their new wedding coordinator!
I’m absolutely loving every second of it so far and can’t wait for what’s to come!
I won’t be disappearing off the grid, you’ll be able to see what I’m up to over on the social media page! Keep a look out over there 💕

The hardest part of our job is …. ..Removing our displays 😭After the wedding fair at the Northrope barn, we left the arch for the children charity and a event that was being held. 2 weeks later the balloons were still in good condition but needed to be taken down 😭.

This place has a piece of my heart! Not only is it the best wedding venue it was our wedding venue, the entire day was out of this world, the staff are unbelievable! Also the efforts they put into helping children is incredible! This time last week we were at the barn setting up for a wedding fair. Which turned out to be AMAZING I’m so grateful to everyone who booked in with us for their big days.

Welcome To Ohh La La

Welcome to Ohh La La, My Name is Emma & I moved to Birkenshaw to live with my partner Andy & our New Addition Jackson the Red fox Lab. We love it here, the Village is so cute, I decided that I would move my current business from Yeadon to Birkenshaw so I can spend more time with Jackson & do less traveling. I have been self employed for 8 years now. Making a big move like this wasn't easy but I already have a great support base by all of you. Thank you! We focus on balloon displays but we can also do Personalised Gifts / Printed T-shirts etc we are also looking into starting an Etsy Shop so we can grow our business online too, so watch out for that :D. A little about me: I turned 31 in 2018 but i’m a big kid at heart, I have a Degree in Photography and Graphic Design. Ive kept up with Graphic Design I love it but my photography isn't much to go by ha ha! I have photography Work displayed in Dewsbury Town hall and I have had a few commissioned Fashion photos in Magazines. I am a huge Disney Fan - if I could live in Cinderellas Castle I would ha! I began helping My mum do Balloons a few years ago as we merged shops, and found a passion for it! I am a perfectionist so I try make everything look its best for everyone! I absolutely love being creative and I couldn't think of anything else id rather be doing than making displays for you guys! Thank you to all of you for supporting us!
