I love when it's people I love :) I used to do this lovely mama's hair for her school dances, and to say her children are dolls is the understatement of the century! They're always my favorite models, and tonight was no exception. So thankful they made a trip to the beach for family photos!
I adore this family, I have been so lucky to capture their memories since before this little lady was even in this world! These kids were dolls tonight, and everyone seemed suddenly so much older at this shoot! We were in and out, laughing and smiling, another gorgeous summer session for some of my favorites :)
What a GORGEOUS hazy morning at the beach! I love meeting a new family (especially when they're referred from the best clients) and this little baby buddy was soooo smiley and lovey, he's going to be such a fun big brother! You're beautiful, H Family.
I can't believe these little twinsies are 6 (and a half as I was corrected) this year!! I love seeing this family, we all end up laughing most of the shoot, and their jumps only seem to get higher! Honored to spend your last night in town with you, O Fam :)
This baby is in the top 5 model babies of all time! He just smiled this sweet smile the entire shoot, and was a little doll! Loved meeting this family on their vacation, what an adorable evening :)
I don't think we could've had a more stunning, night in La Jolla for these photos! Every year with this family I think, "That was their best shoot ever," and then every year we find a new magical spot to top it! I love this location and hadn't been here in awhile, what a wonderful time with such special, longtime, adorable clients! For me it's truly an honor to know I've captured the milestones for years :)
Living next door to a family as WONDERFUL as this one has been a nonstop blessing! Also, how photogenic is this little handsome guy?? Gorgeous sunset, gorgeous people, I am infinitely lucky in friends.
Gorgeous extended family shoot at Mission Beach was a party this week! Any time you are able to get 25 family members in the same place, you absolutely should hire a photographer, and I'm so glad we could make these memories for this big loving crew!
When I see this family on my calendar my heart truly leaps! I love every single one of them, the boys crack me up, the girls are STARS, and these parents have so much love and joy! They obviously didn't disappoint this year, living up to their fab reputation in front of the camera as per usual.
What a treat to have our friends that moved away last year back for a visit, and back for some updated beach photos!! Cannot believe how big these little ones are now (and how many tricks they have)! Amazing little cloudy sunset at the pier is always a treat :)
I have loved this family long before any of these boys or babies were a part of it, and seeing all their new little loves and grown lives is such pure joy for me! These were always darling girls, and now they have even more darlings. Love that this was a Mother's Day gift to their fabulous mama! Best beach morning!
Dads. I get to see you dads in the hospital the morning after your baby has been born, bleary-eyed and a little nervous. I get to see you carry all the bags and chase all the yelling toddlers at family pictures a couple years later. I get to see you make dad jokes to your eye-rolling teenager to get them to smile in the Christmas card photos. I get to see you tie your son’s tie at his wedding. I get to see your stunned face when you see your beautiful bride daughter and cry as you walk her down the aisle. I get to see you toss grandkids in the air giggling. I get to see so much love from dads, whether they’re new dads or stepdads or old dads or adopted dads, and it’s always my privilege and honor to capture all that love so your kids can look back and see it too. Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads I’ve met over these many years!
To say my senior session tonight was a supermodel is honestly an understatement. Her mom told me she was nervous and....I have no idea how this stunning girl could be nervous about photos, look at her!!! We had so much fun at the IB Pier tonight, and I loved getting her giant smile to emerge a couple times. SDSU is lucky to be gaining you soon, Jayde!
I hate saying goodbye to friends, and am in total denial that these ones are leaving so soon! Happy to spend a little bit of time capturing their final times here in Coronado before they go!
It's such a privilege to photograph people you really adore. I met this amazing woman when she was my daughter's kindergarten secretary and I was the PTA president, and we became fast allies. All these years later, I just feel so honored to get to capture her big amazing family that grows every year! What a great Mother's Day gift from her fab kids!

Annual headshots with Sara is one of my favorite shoots of the year, we get so deep in our talks and she always teaches me something new! Loved taking her all over Coronado Beach this time, those surfboards were such a hit!
My friend Brittany opened a dance company that travels to local schools and teaches dance to their little students weekly, and when she asked if I might photograph their first recital of course I said YES! I love what she's doing, I love that kids who might not otherwise get exposed to dance lessons can do it right in their school! Also...this was probably the cutest day ever in the history of days.
When I get to photograph someone I love, I'm just smiling the whole time I shoot! These lovebirds get married in September (and I get to be a GUEST!!), both just graduated college this month, and I'm so excited for their future! Loved our sparkly beach night!
I am so lucky to capture all the stages of motherhood. I get to see you marveling at the hospital over tiny miraculous toes. I get to see you sleep-deprived but blissful in your home holding your newborn. I get to see you bribing your toddlers with cookies on the beach. I get to see you tossing kids in the air and chasing them around a field. I get to see you straightening your baby’s graduation cap and holding their clothes for the next outfit. I get to see you zipping their wedding dresses and wiping your very happy tears as they walk down the aisle. I get to see you dancing with your sons at their weddings. I get to see you come back for a photo with a precious new grandbaby. I get to see it all, and it really is all magic. Cheers to you, moms, you make it all happen with more love than a body can hold.
This gorgeous family hasn't had photos in a years, and I am SO honored to update them! They were pretty hilarious, and the evening was so misty lovely all things San Diego May Gray tonight at the Pier!
I am so happy I got to capture these two awesome people before they head off to the east coast, they're such rays of light! We had the best little evening, and if you scroll to the end you'll see the world's greatest blooper that somehow stayed in focus as I dropped my camera around my neck and yelled "NO!!!!!"
How lovey and sweet are these two?! Balboa and this couple was a dream, so relaxed and silly and cute and perfect. At the end, her sweet fiancé stood back and let me exit the area ahead of him with a very gentlemanly, "After you," gesture and I made sure to let her know: marrying this guy is a great choice :) Loved this gorgeous pair!
Another AMAZING night donating my time to an incredible cause, the Alzheimer's Association San Diego/Imperial Chapter . I always leave this event feeling so education and inspired, the advancements that are new in this field are HUGE and gave me so much hope listening to these experts and devoted philanthropists. The evening was gorgeous at the Alila Marea , and I was really honored to capture it all.

It was an incredible honor to capture the love of 50 years between this gorgeous couple. Everything from the sunshine, to the family, to the surprise ring he gave her at the altar was touching and wonderful. I cried through half of the events, and felt so lucky to be there! Also, how do I age like this woman?!
Have you ever seen a child having more fun in a photo shoot? I don't think I have! This angel (who is so much bigger than last year!) was having a PARTY at this shoot, and cracking us all up! Love this gorgeous trio!
I am pretty obsessed with tonight's senior session, is there anything better than San Diego senior photos in Balboa? We stumbled into magical light, the pavilion was empty, and this princess model angel was effortless! What a dream night!
Baby Sofia was very AWAKE yesterday, at only a couple days old, and her old soul eyes were just piercing my heart! I got to snuggle and cuddle and rock her to my heart's content, as her mom arranged flowers for her, and her brother's both held her for the first time. I have loved this family a LONG time with my lens, and it's just wonderful to see a little girl join the mix!
What do you get with bright sunny mornings, a broken toe mom, and a runny nose baby? The cutest family ever!!! :) I love this crew and it's crazy that this baby is ONE, I feel like I just did these newborn photos!!
