It’s always a good time at ’s annual 40 Over 40 Awards Party! This year we went further back in time (adding the ‘60s and ‘70s to the normal ‘80s party) to honor 40 remarkable individuals over the age of 40 who are making profound contributions to the Charlotte community.

So enjoyed hearing keynote speaker Charles T. Brown at the ’s sold-out Trail Forum last week. Charles is the founder and principal of Equitable Cities, a minority- and veteran-owned urban planning, public policy, and research firm focused at the intersection of transportation, health, and equity.
Charles is an award-winning expert in planning and policy and has been interviewed by several notable outlets including the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, the Guardian, VICE and Bloomberg CityLab. He is highly regarded as a keynote speaker and regularly leads workshops on transportation, health, and equity for audiences worldwide.

This past weekend's Drop Dead 5K benefiting the Historic Elmwood/Pinewood Cemetery 🪦 was sold out again this year! 350 runners enjoyed the run through the 70+ acres of the cemetery early Saturday morning. Check out these amazing photos from our photographer Austin Caine.

This was our second sold-out event in a row. 👏

What a difference it makes planning sold-out events rather than scrambling to try and guess how many people are coming. It is such a relief to the organizers, caterers, venues, and rental companies. 🙏

This unique race presented by Church Street Realty and takes place within the 70 beautiful acres of the Historic Elmwood/Pinewood Cemetery 🪦 on Saturday, November 5th. In addition to the gorgeous views of the skyline, runners will enjoy a finisher medal, race shirt, free beer from , and enjoy guided tours after!
