Gai Rites

Gai Rites Reclaim life's rites of passage with me. It’s time to reclaim these traditions in a myriad of magickal, mystical ways!

Genuine, heartfelt ceremonies that tell the unique stories behind your love, the loss of someone special, or the renewal of life's promise in the birth of a child - elevate simple ceremony to transcendent ritual. Once, society celebrated all manner of things - rites of puberty, the passage from youth to adult and finding a lover and life partner; the creation of a new home and perhaps the celebrat

ion of a new life. We honoured those who were aging, and as life came to its inevitable close, we gathered to honour the life that was lived and the gifts that were left behind. From the wonderfully romantic, traditional wedding ceremony to commemorate your life’s commitment together, to the more earthy, Pagan art of ritual and all variations between, I offer you my skill in crafting a unique celebration that honours your individuality and dreams. Ceremony is limited only by your imagination...

I've been pondering the reason why people are getting married and often ask couples what they feel will change. Rarely is there a response that speaks to security of relationship or life, or any of the other rationales society posits.
It also makes me wonder about how weddings themselves need to change, to become more truly a rite of passage.

From having babies on their own to choosing to be single, these Australians believe life isn't necessarily easier — or better — with a partner.

Weddings are becoming more and more personalised, with no two weddings you go to quite the same. But how can you bring this personalisation to the ceremony? With a celebrant wedding, the possibilities are endless and the more creative you and your celebrant are, the more unique and personal your rit...

Did you lose someone special this year? Set an extra place for those no longer with us, remember them when you ate as a family… “ Remember how dad always loved doing …”

Yes we’re sad and we have tears but its ok to laugh and smile as well and remember them with joy.. at this time of year it’s important to keep alive the gifts they gave to you

"I asked an elderly woman once what it was like to be old and to know that the majority of her life was now behind her.

She told me that she has been the same age her entire life. She said the voice inside of her head had never aged. She has always just been the same girl. Her mother's daughter. She had always wondered when she would grow up and be an old woman.

She said she watched her body age and her faculties dull but the person she is inside never got tired. She never aged. She never changed.

Remember, our spirits are eternal. Our souls are forever. The next time you encounter an elderly person, look at them and know they are still a child, just as you are still a child and children will always need love, attention and purpose."

If brides and grooms aren't offering to foot the bill for their bridal parties, they need to be considerate of the choices they are making, experts say.
