One could only imagine the celestial beauty of “Parijat”, a flower that was churned out during Sagara manthan, stolen from heaven by Lord Krishna. The sight of this decor was no less than the beauty of parijat. It actually felt like strolling in Nandan Kanan, a exquisite garden of Lord Indra while entering into the venue. The Banana trees with ripe banana bunches dressed in Tagar ki Jali swathed with floral crowns on either side of the walkway welcomed the guests into a group of round tables with the stems of banana trees showered with rose petals around as the centerpieces. Then lead the way into the extravaganza mandapam with two ardha mandapams on either side where in the left most corner the sannayi melam and to the right most were the renowned musicians playing soothing instrumental music. The mandapam was guarded by two elephants bejeweled with brass finished ornaments, floral garlands and tagar ki jali adding beauty to their trunks.
The remarkable flower work was a sight to be mesmerized for. The mogra strands were draped towards the floral chandelier with lotus and mogra hangings. The beauty of the pillars with Yalis on either side can be peeked through the gajamalas. Each mandapam was connected through a huge circular disc of intricate craft of details inside an arch right beside the wall of smaller gavaksha inspired archs with bells and diyas as the backdrop for the mandapam. But all these couldn’t steal the attention from the antique statue of Lord Ganesha settled in the shikara making his perception to bless everyone.
Going back in time, on December 8th 2019, it all started with a chart paper ready to be sketched with all the impeccable ideas. It was not just a mere decor for the team, it was more of working on the elements that adds a meaning to it. The 3 months and a week of time has seen a total of 400 people were moulding the dream sketch into reality.

The mint green backdrop with strands of white coloured fragrant mogra flowers, gajamalas along with two heavy pillars wrapped with mogra strands and four coconut leaves placed in the corners resembling as the coconut trees have set the stage for the bedazzled hand painted frame of Goddess Lakshmi Devi bordered with red roses and yellow marigold to be placed at the center with lotus hangings above welcomed the bride to be for the blessings of beloved ones.

Keeping up with the high spirits of the family, the team has adorned the backdrop with layers of banana leaves which signifies beauty, feminity and prosperity overlapping and on the top orange marigold strands with lily strands at the tip flaunting the coconut leafed parrots in between are placed over the backdrop alternating the flower stands made of coconut leaves! In the front of the bride to be, the brass vessels known as Gangalam were filled with warm water, chandan, kunkum, pasupu and rose petals!
