MAGIQUE 🤍 that's what this rose is called! It's a beautiful local variety from . We are lucky that our suppliers can import some incredible things from overseas that we struggle to grow in Australia like the huge Columbian roses or orchids, but there's really nothing like working with product that you know has been grown right here in Aus. ✨

If you are planning a 2024 wedding, have no fear! We are still accepting bookings for 2024 too but have limited availability. Definitely reach out & we can confirm whether we are available. 🥰
Does anyone else feel like 2025 is forever away? It will be here before we know it, even though I'm still wrapping my head around the fact we are almost finished with 2023. How did that happen?! 😳😅😂

Oh hey 👋🏼 for any new faces around here I thought it’s time to introduce myself!
I’m Sarah, I’m the face, hands & heart behind Gwen Floral Co 🌸
Here’s 5 things you should know:
1️⃣ I started this business over 6 years ago, and named it in honour of my grandma, Gwen. She was such a gentle & gracious lady, and she used to be a florist in her younger days! I often mistakenly get called Gwen (even though I sign off my emails with Sarah 😝) but that’s ok, I won’t hold it against you if you accidentally call me Gwen. 😉
2️⃣ luxuriously whimsical, romantic & refined floral designs are my speciality 🙈💐 I was leaning into the European garden-inspired floral design before it was ‘cool’ in Australia 🤣 but I’m so glad we’ve moved away from some past trends that I shall not name, and that textural & whimsical florals are all the rage right now. 🤍
3️⃣ my husband & I welcomed my first baby into the world in January this year! It’s been a wild but beautiful year of flowering for 25 beautiful weddings this year whilst settling into motherhood. Part of the reason I wanted to start my own business was so I could work from home, choose my hours and be a present mum. I’m so grateful I’m living in that reality now (although it’s getting a little harder now that he’s on the move 🤪)
4️⃣ we are a boutique floral studio; I’ve setup a sweet studio space in my home (I’ve pretty much overtaken the entire downstairs now, sorry babe 🙃) We are a small but mighty team & only accept limited bookings each year. My philosophy with business has never been ‘bigger is better’ and I’m really proud of the business I’ve built over the last 6 years 🤍
5️⃣ if we get coffee (just a side note: I love getting coffee with my clients before AND after their weddings 😂) just ask me about op shopping, Friends, or raising babies and we will be talking for hours.

Today marks SIX years of Gwen Floral Co. 🤍
Around 7 years ago I had this wild idea to finish up at uni & have a crack at building a wedding floral design business. I went to flower school, started the business, made coffees on the side, and within a couple of years I was able to go full-time on this dream.
Grateful for the 250+ couples who’ve trusted me & my team to play a part in their day.
Grateful for the industry friends I’ve met along the way.
Grateful to be able to work at some of the most insanely beautiful wedding venues in QLD and NSW.
Grateful that I get to ‘play with flowers’ (lol it’s definitely a lot more than that) and call it my job!
Grateful for my freelancers/staff for just being incredible designers and incredible people.
Grateful to my husband, family & friends for cheering me on along the way.
When I tell people I’m a wedding florist they usually say “woooow that’s amazing” and I reply with “yep, dream job” — because it really IS the dream job. 🥰

2022 has been another wild & beautiful year! We've had the joy of flowering for around 50 beautiful full-service weddings this year (so much for 'let's take it slower in 2022' 🙃)
We still have a handful of weddings to finish the year, but things are certainly *starting* to slow down from here. We have a few spots remaining for June onwards in 2023 & have recently opened bookings for 2024 (gosh that sounds wild 🤯). With peak enquiry season coming up we'd recommend reaching out sooner rather than later to get your vendors locked in!

QUICKSAND 🤍 a fan favourite. This bunch of quicksand roses was beautifully warm and golden rather than the usual (equally as beautiful) blush pink. We love that the shades can vary with each crop. That's the beauty of nature!
