We are absolutely devastated to share and mourn the sudden passing of 1 of our MadMa### DJ warriors, DJ Alaya (also DJ Aldanya), AKA Crystal Manias. I am deeply shocked & shaken by this recent news.
Crystal had been sadly ill and in quiet mode for some time, & was on a promising healing path, & we were so delighted that she agreed to come back to play for us at the midnight slot.
Her prime sound was as DJ Aldanya - an incredible powerhouse of strength and power and tough driving techno - a little harder than we play, which led her to develop an alternative identity, Alaya, under which she played all her stunning sets for us.
It was she that we chose to fully represent us at our Fox&Badge slot at the WAX showcase, when we 1st worked with Heaven in 2023 - & it was she that played the unforgettable closing set at UNmasquerade - that unique event that we managed to rustle together the very week London finally re-opened after lockdown, before she then stepped up to also spin for the long-postponed Pagan Spring. Her sets were glorious; we were all always so ecstatic.

Every great DJ shares their soul with us when they play. Crystal really shared her gorgeous soul. Today we celebrate her brilliance and majesty, creativity and generosity, and we send our love to all those who most mourn her loss from this realm.
We will always remember her, and she reminds us to thank & celebrate all those we love, and give so much damn thanks for them.

We’re still on fire from our sensual storytelling meetup this week with where we explored the literary, the erotic, and the body.

The entire thing was an experiment - dreamed up and impeccably designed and delivered by our own welfare angels and resident writers, Ruth and Gladys San Juan. We were apprehensive when they first suggested it. How could they make the essentially solo process of writing into a sensual connective act? How would they ignite desire enough to get the inspiration for these words flowing?

But, my god, did they succeed. It was edgy, sultry, playful, ritualistic, and truly connective. If you feel like massage is sensual, try the subtle sweep of a pen-tip across your neck…

The whole night was a reminder of the powerful potency of words to excite us and, even more, the transformative, releasing effect of sharing them through the body. Somehow touchingly innocent and gentle while still smoldering with the s*xiness of voicing our darkest desires - incredibly hot!

As the horse’s strong bodies gallop down the dark country lanes, the carriage rumbles and vibrates through the seats of the carriage. A dimly lit lantern sways above my head, drawing shadows across the gilded woodwork. I lean back, resting my hand against my soft powdered skin delicately encapsulated in the lace trim of my bodice, round, voluptuous, caught up in the whalebone that presses my hot breath away from my body and catches the cold air. Am I ready for what lies ahead? I ask myself. I am stirred; there is an ache that has driven me with a fervour throughout the day I now find hard to ignore.

SCENES FROM OUR LAST MEETUP: We're still on fire from our sensual storytelling workshop on Tuesday where we explored the literary, the erotic, and the body.

The entire thing was an experiment - dreamed up and impeccably designed and delivered by our own welfare angels and resident writers, Ruth and Gladys San Juan. We were apprehensive when they first suggested it. How could they make the essentially solo process of writing into a sensual connective act? How would they ignite desire enough to get the inspiration for these words flowing?

But, my god, did they succeed. It was edgy, sultry, playful, ritualistic, and truly connective. They led us gently; blindfolded at first while we listened to Ruth’s own erotic writing. Inspired, each person wrote a single sentence describing what they felt, desired, wanted on a piece of ribbon; bravely read it aloud and tenderly tied it to our bodies. Then in pairs and groups, we began to explore the skin as canvas - discovering with our pens on bodies the words and sentences and stories that emerged. Wow, if you feel like massage is sensual, try the subtle sweep of a pen-tip across your neck.

The whole night was a reminder of the powerful potency of words to excite us and, even more, the transformative, releasing effect of sharing them through the body. Somehow touchingly innocent and gentle while still smoldering with the s*xiness of voicing our darkest desires - incredibly hot!

These are the kind of spaces we want to create more of at Fox&Badge. We cannot thank Ruth and Gladys enough for their dedication to this project - for designing each aspect and exercise with such care and creativity and wisdom. And to all those who came - I’m constantly astounded by the trust, the sweet openness and pure acceptance of this community. Thank you my precious deviants for experimenting with us so playfully!

F&B Flashback: VAMPIRES of the HEART (2022) 🖤

Halloween is quickly catching up with New Years Eve as the biggest night out of the year in London. We love it and we absolutely loved exploring the rich lore of vampire culture at our Halloween event in 2022!

We found out we had a lot of vampire fans in our midst including an incredible professional fangsmith!

NEXT MONTHLY MEETUP: BODY LANGUAGE - What stories live in the hollow of your throat? The softness of your thigh? The secret spaces between thought and desire? What happens when we let our bodies guide our stories?

Join us on January 14th as we explore words - & bodies. Part storytelling and writing, part somatic workshop, our fabulous resident writers/Welfare Angels Ruth and Gladys will be guiding us as we explore the power of erotic writing, and gently shape sensual sentences on the skin of others, and submit an area of our own skin (of our choosing) in return.

Here, in this intimate space of 24 people, we dissolve the boundaries between body and text. Between what we dare to feel and what we dare to write. As we use each other’s bodies as a canvas we’ll see how a single letter can hold as much heat as touch...

As we look forward to our adventures & growth with 2025 on the horizon, we’re also looking back at what we all collectively experienced over the last few years…
This time two years ago we were preparing for our first New Year’s eve event since the pandemic. It was a spiritual journey of stepping Into The Light at our old haunt, The Steelyard after our scheduled 2021 event was suddenly postponed during Covid. How far away those days seem now! This event felt like a true coming together of the community; intimate, heartful, and bright in the dark of winter.
