Our Story..

Once Upon a Time, there was a girl with a dream...A dream to create MAGIC!

Since performing from a young age in dance and amateur dramatics, this little girl's love for the performance industry only grew stronger each day. As any child's imagination blossoms, so did hers! She often dreamed of learning more about performing arts and helping to bring the stories she loved so much to life. Fast-forwarding to when this little girl was all grown up and had completed her studies in Performing Arts and Musical Theatre she then went onto work as a professional actor and children's entertainer! As time went on the little girl's love of telling stories and sharing magic never wavered. Then one magical day, the girl gave birth to a little baby boy, her very own Prince Charming! Adapting to becoming a working mum, proved challenging to say the least! Yet the girl worked hard and never gave up believing in her life long dream of owning her own theatre company; and in 2017 Once Upon a Time UK was launched.

That little girl was our founder Zoe!

The Walt Disney Company has always held a place in Zoe's heart, as she religiously visited from the age of three, Zoe has always been captivated by the extraordinary talents, the attention to detail, and fell in love with the idea of creating magical memories of her own for children and families all across the UK! In order to create the same level of magic you would experience in a theme park, Once Upon a Time set out to be one of the highest of quality character entertainment companies in the UK.

Which brings us onto the level of quality you can expect from us, as a company we pride ourselves in the hundreds of hours we devote into researching and sourcing the highest quality costumes, wigs, accessories, performers and more! We believe that our customers and clients deserve the most authentic and believable experiences possible. This is why our costuming department takes several months to design each of our characters, making sure that no detail is overlooked. We are incredibly proud to work alongside some of the most talented seamstresses and wig stylists from all over the globe! From crown to toe, our characters are sure to make a lasting impression anywhere they go; because we believe every person deserves to experience REAL magic.

When conceptualizing Once Upon a Time UK Zoe knew she wanted only the best, this is why you will never get "just a girl in a pretty dress", each of our cast members are professionally trained performers, and come from a performance background in either singing, acting, or dance.

This is how you know you can be confident that you are in for a memorable experience when booking us!

Because we strongly value character integrity, when you meet any of our characters you'll believe they walked straight out of their storybook! This is because all our performers go through an intensive training program teaching them how to correctly portray their role true, from their voice to their movements, we ensure they're true to character. So whether you meet our characters here or in a kingdom far away, they will always be the same! Since opening our castle doors, in late 2017 we have had the pleasure of proudly creating magical memories for thousands of people all across the UK and working alongside some of the most beautiful venues and big-branded organisations. Whether you have hired us for a corporate partnership or attending one of our in-person events, utilized our online services (during the covid19 pandemic), or even recommend us to a friend we are sincerely thankful for your support in helping us to make magical memories now and for years to come.
