We cant quite believe the amazing group of DJs who have agreed to play for the love of it OverDraught MCR this coming Saturday. A further mega addition we are bowled over to have is AKA Jackie. AKAJackie is storming the scene having played for some of Manchester’s finest nights including Sticky Heat, YDNY - Your Disco Needs You, Club Solo, Supernature Disco and What She Said amongst others. He has also played further afield at 110 above festival and Sheaf St in Leeds. Recently he has contributed to radio shows on Reform Radio and Komrad. He is passionate about mixing a multitude of genres together in a cohesive way to create a musical journey that always brings that top energy to the dance floor. Expect all varieties of house / disco / acid / electronic.😄😍👊 AKA Jackie will grace the wheels on the good ship OverDraught MCR from 10.30 pm BRING ON THE WEEKEND ❤️

Now introducing another great friend of DeRanged Nights the amazing DJ VivSki who you can catch east 9.45 next Saturday OverDraught MCR as part of Spinners Galore Cant wait 😁❤️💕

DJ VivSki’s formative years were enjoying music from the 70’s, heavily influenced by disco, soul, and jazz funk, thereafter being mesmerised by Chicago House legend Farley "Jackmaster" Funk at the Hacienda, and frequenting other famous MCR establishments - Sankeys & Holy City Zoo..

VivSki dreamt of being a DJ whilst dancing at Cream in Liverpool, looking up to the mega DJs, with the late 90’s Ibiza era and 20+ years of clubland raving on the White Isle, being captivated by the likes of James Zabiela at Space and Erick Morillo at Pacha & Pikes.

In 2020 VivSki began her DJ journey playing vinyl at Mike William's BYOV nights, down at Chorlton's Strange Brew bar. A chance encounter with Kerry McColgan (Weedot.) led to a spot with Mixing Mates in the vibrant Northern Quarter of MCR, Stage & Radio bar, where she's enjoyed playing alongside DJ Graham Jimmison.

VivSki taught herself digital mixing in preparation for Manchester’s DeRanged Winter festival in Feb 2023, and later in the year, showcased her "cerebral mix of musical magic" at Drybeck Farm Summer festival.

In between playing at HEAD in Stretford, Overdraught in Levi, Red Light , The Carlton Club, The Crown & Anchor, nq, VivSki helped raise money for Feed Manchester playing for the DJ collective, Unpolished People – In Cahoots charity event at Six Trees Bar & Kitchen.

VIvSki is the brainchild behind GaLacTicA which, together with Electric Gigi, was successfully launched at the Carlton Club in April 2023 - along with star-studded Guest DJs - their mission to spread love & joy through a magical cosmic carpet ride of genre-hopping dance music goodness, from uplifting anthems to serious House music choons, showcasing her infectious energy and passion.

VivSki transitions to a deeper/progressive/tech house sound playing for PDT (Psychedelic DiscoTech) and DeRanged .. "you keep on amazing me with surprises and diversity that are simply hot, hot, hot"- this is a sound she is really enjoying exploring and is very excited to partake in the 12 hour Spinners Galore marathon.

The observant among you will know that Spinners Galore on 30th March has 16 DJs playing in 12 hours. Here are some more details on two more of our fanatic guests.

Colin Bell(now a regular at our parties) 'Techno Triangle' is also so we have learnt a mighty talented spinner himself so time to give it whirl in Levvie ... You may have seen Colin as part of the mighty Drum Machine, or on techno triangle at Beatherder, Bearded Theory, Glastonbury, Bestival, Boomtown or many other festivals and gigs up and down the country.

As dj Blunt he was part of Dusted Sound System, putting on club nights like Some Freaky Stuff, and Balance, as well as parties all over the place. Having had a break from djing for a few years he’s been getting back out there, with recent sets in Sowerby Bridge, Todmorden and Sheffield. Expect fat underground bass-heavy house and more.

PIP ELLIS
Talking of drummers we are also welcoming back fellow Drum Machine 'er Pip Ellis after their fantastic DeRanged debut back in September. Pip has played the decks at the legendary Golden Lion in Todmorden on more than one occasion and has a residency at Nan Moor's in Tod.
They can be experimental when DJing but tend to go for tech house, breaks, and techno when playing out.

Hot on the heels of our fab night at Partisan, Islington Mill last weekend we bring you Spinners Galore back at our home in Levvie OverDraught MCR on Easter Saturday 30th March.... for a 12 hour , 16 DJ extravaganza 3pm - 3am.
