We're thrilled to announce this year's Tuesdays in the Plaza summer line-up! Join us every Tuesday from May 28 through August 27 in the beautiful Healdsburg Plaza from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for incredible live music from a variety of exceptional artists. Starting at 5:00pm, enjoy delicious food from local vendors including, Lola's Market, Rose's Burgers & Brats, Healdsburger, Nellie's Oysters, K&B Elixirs, and Dino's Greek Food Truck. Attendees are encouraged to ride their bikes to take advantage of our free bike valet service provided by the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition. We hope you’re ready for a summer of music! All are welcome to attend and enjoy Tuesdays in the Plaza!

We have been very thankfull for everyone's support since we started this project back in 2019 through all the trials and tribulations. Meals are communal and are seen as important opportunities to talk and be with family and friends. Greeks eat out a lot, especially in the evening and usually with friends or family. At lunch, it is common for each person to have their own dish, but at evening meals all dishes go into the middle of the table for everyone to take what they want.

Everything is shared.
Eating with hands is common in less-expensive restaurants (not using the hands may be considered strange).
Salads are an accompaniment in Greece, and they are never eaten as a main course.
It is not considered impolite to put food onto other people's plates without them asking, nor to refill their wine glass.
A diner will be expected to make conversation and be social. This is part of the meal.

Gemista or yemista (which in Greek means ‘filled with’) is a traditional recipe for Greek stuffed tomatoes and/or other vegetables that are baked until soft and nicely browned. It is one of the most popular recipes in any Greek taverna and household.

This is my traditional Gemista (yemista) recipe, just like my family used to make it!

THIS WEEKS SPECIAL! We will have traditional greek dolmas! This delicious greek recipe we have is an old one that has a ton of fresh herbs inside such as dill, parsely and leeks as well as ground beef. They are rolled into grape leafs that we picked ourselves and cooked in a tomato lemon sauce to give it that signature lemon bite. It will be served with a side of tzatziki and a slice of lemon. A Taverna.. It's an experience. It's a feeling. It's the Greek way of savoring delicious food. Put simply, It's a microcosm of Greek gastronomy and culture. It's a relaxing Haven after a dip in the sea. It's the cool shade under a 100-year-old Olive tree. It's the 80-year-old Granny peeling potatoes. It's a sound of waves lapping onto the beach as you relish greek octopus or take your first bite of delicious grilled fish. It's the clink of wine glasses. The koraf of ice cold raki or ouzo And tiny plates of mezedes That don't fill you up but keep you company. It's the way we dine out and all talk loudly at the same time. It's the joy we feel when welcoming newcomers to our table, hospitable Greek culture at its finest. It's a whole world of deep-seated symbolism. Settle aromas and flavors beneath an ever shining sun.
