Imagine yourself as a young child. You only have a blanket, a pillow, and the floor to sleep on at night. That is it. How would this impact your life?
One of our crews recently met a family who needed our assistance. Their young children had never had a bed to sleep in. Ever. Their children slept on the floor. Our team was able to help by using part of the proceeds from the Step Up for Heroes event to purchase bunk beds for this family. We were able to change these young children's lives forever. We also changed a few firefighters lives as well. This is what it means to Step Up for Heroes.
Last year we exceeded attendance and fundraising expectations because of you. We have been able to help every day heroes at the direct point of need because YOU participated in Step Up for Heroes. We are already on track to set new records this year.
