Attitude “Discover” is the new showcase night for Irish musicians under 18. Attitude “Discover” will give these teens a chance to perform in front o
f an audience of peers and guests from the music industry while sharing the stage with well-known acts who began their musical career under same circumstances. It is a chance for the youth, who have interest in pursuing a career in music, to develop their performance skills, improve their confidence and give them a platform to be heard. Katie Hogan from NuMu Promotions describes the events' endeavour "At NuMu Promotions we are dedicated to working with the youth and currently represent a number of very young acts so to be a part of this fantastic project is an honour. The youth don't understand the hardship of being a musician thanks to certain talent shows, which are so far from reality I feel it is causing little appreciation towards the music industry. The idea of this is to diffuse the current competitive market and restore faith in music as career while providing a safe and entertaining night for all teens." "Having always wanted to perform as a child in front of people but never having the opportunity, I wanted to be able to provide a platform where young Irish musicians with original music could play to an audience, to be given a chance on a real stage and to be appreciated, without the fear of judges like X-Factor shows, where their talent can be appreciated and not judged" says Emma Quinlan, Creative Operations Manager at M J F Wright Hospitality. All recordings accepted including Youtube videos, rough demo recordings. All acts wishing to participate have to be U18 and over 14 and have at least one original song. Tickets are now on sale at €15.00
