Our Story

Thank you for considering hiring me to officiate your wedding. I absolutely love everything about romance and weddings. I am an experienced public speaker and creative writer, and I would be honored to help make your ceremony unforgettable. I was raised in rural Iowa and have resided in the Des Moines area since 1991. I currently live near Downtown Des Moines with my wife of 8 years. Combined we have 4 children, and 6 lovely grandchildren. We enjoy watching them grow. I have been a registered nurse since 1983 and have spent the majority of my career caring for our nations veterans. I dreamed of becoming a wedding officiant, and in 2009 I received legal authorization to officiate marriages through the Universal Life Church. Since that time I have officiated weddings both large and small in all types of venues. My goal as your officiant is to make your wedding ceremony as personal and romantic as you want it to be. I will listen to your needs and together we will create a ceremony that is uniquely yours.
