I have been deliberating for some time now about posting with an update. Some will have noticed I have been quiet with regards to my makeup business, my passion and my success in doing what I love.

But sadly back in March of this year I had a bad fall and sustained a knee injury. Of late this has worsened considerably and injections and pain relief are no longer having the desired effect. Now I am unable to stand for any length of time, the pain being just too much.

So, hopefully temporarily, I am having to take a back seat on my work, literally !

I started my business doing group makeup classes for ladies with cancer in the hospitals, and truly realised the power of makeup first hand and developed my skills further to help women look and feel better about themselves, giving them the confidence so many were looking for.

Sadly the pandemic, now coupled with the cost of living, the photoshoots I loved so much, getting creative etc, now rarely happen. Makeup lessons and weddings have continued but my ability to stand for any length of time has been heavily impacted for now.

I am awaiting appointments to get the treatment needed so hopefully I may get back to normal in the coming months.

I am so proud of what I have achieved, being published and of course my photo shoot with a reigning Miss England. Holding my own group makeup classes, and feedback I have had over the years has been heartwarming.

It isn't very often that I can get photos of Brides, ready to leave for their wedding. I'm always conscious that it's the Bride's special time with her family once her makeup and hair is done and she's ready to go. So when that time comes and my work is done, I leave which means I don't get the 'final look' photograph.

So this lovely Bride shared some moments from her Wedding with me to showcase how beautiful and happy she looked on her big day 🩷

Had a fun makeup lesson with Judith this morning 💋 She had previously had her 'colours' done professionally, and my simple colour test proved that she already had a good idea what makeup colours were right for her and which ones to avoid. So important to get it right !

I showed her how to apply colour to enhance the eye shape she had, the brown tones brought out her natural eye colour perfectly. After trying some lip colours, we settled on this one, slightly shimmery and complimented the rest of her makeup really well. Think her lovely smile says it all 💋

Lash lift and tint for a Bride to Be, always good to trial something prior to the big day 👰‍♀️It's a lovely surprise when you see how long your lashes really are !

From downward lashes to upward curled ones ! Lash lift and tint together with a brow wax and tidy for my Client this afternoon. Her first one and happy to say she was really pleased with the results.

Makeup Lesson this morning for this lady who felt she had 'lost her way' with her makeup. After the colour test it was clear she had been using the wrong colours which didn't compliment her, rather than the tones we used today. I gave her some advice on application, some 'to do's and some 'not to do's' and she could see immediately the effect.

She had lovely 'glowy' skin so with the right products complimenting her own skin, hair and eye color, she looked just lovely.

Makeup lesson/bridal makeup trial this morning. The Bride to be wanted to learn how to best apply her own makeup and also to see if she would be happy for me to do it for her on the day. She wanted natural but a bit more special for the day and the final look was beautiful on her. Looking forward to seeing her on 'the big day' 👰‍♀️
