Everything turned out so beautiful for A Very SALTY Christmas last night! Thank you to everyone that came out! Thank you Mom Debra, Tanisha, Shaquita, Charles, Carl, and Naomi for helping to transform the place! Thank you Felicia and Jacinta for working the event last night. Thank you Joe Campbell, Jason Parker, Damian Rozell, and Bishop Kendrick for providing the live music. Thank you Chef Charles Boyd, Slaps Yeah, and Janet French-Cannedy for providing the 🔥food. (everyone was talking about it all night!). And Thank you Unique Measures for setting up the photo booth. (The booth stayed lit!) The pictures were FANTASTIC! Merry Christmas to all! Today is the official Anniversary date of SALTY! I thank God for the progression and forward movement. I also thank all of YOU for your participation, attendance, prayers, and encouragement. Fun fact... how many artists have graced the Salty platform over the 9 years? Check out this video! Some of you will see yourself. 😉 I went back through the records to find as many as I could.

After I started Salty in 2015, the word was starting to get out. Many had questions about what Salty was. (Most were very skepital. Some still are. lol) I wanted to have a video made to give an idea of our gathering. Chauncey Wilson was referred to me by Desmond Nugent. (Both in the news industry.) Chauncey worked for Channel 8 at the time. He created this body of work AND had it featured as a news story on Channel 8. I can't believe this video is now 8 years old! But the message is still the same. At our next Salty on May 10th, we're celebrating 9 years! I Hope you will join us.

(p.s. Yes, My hair was platinum blond at the time. )

Lord... tonight. I'm glad I put the cell phone on the tripod, because this was a sit and soak it in type of night. I could have laid out on that rug. Thank you Twytinna Gardner, DeAnn Mishae' Cooks, Adriane Sherita Williams, and Liz (Violinist) for allowing God to use you. Thank you to everyone that battled the cold and rain to come out! It was absolutely beautiful to really take the time to worship God. I'll post some clips over the next few days.
