You’ll find us at the best bashes. After removing everything from hay bales to horse whips we set about restoring our old horsebox into a mobile temple of

modern dining. We spent many chilly mornings and long nights working to restore and modernize this relic into what you see now. With an habitual need to keep our cooking simple and clean we decided to reflect this in the fabrication and use just a few materials to restructure the main body. We incorporated large panes of glass and removable materials so we were able to open our space out to include as much daylight as possible, keeping our staff energized and our customers in full view. We are proud about we do, so we were keen to include this transparency throughout business. The Tin Top Oven was built to enjoy the simplicities in life, burning wood, roasting meats, melting cheeses, baking fresh loafs of bread or braising vegetables. There is no limit to what we can produce inside this furnace of joy…

We understand that the feeling of sharing good food with good people is like none other and we aim to make sure your soirées taste as good as they feel. We’re experts in the rituals of entertaining and understand the joy of a shared experience whilst dining communally. We’re meticulous in our attention to detail, in every aspect of the event planning; from hand-illustrated menus, to adapting an entire space to complement your tastes and your dinner. Researching, growing, sourcing and connecting with the land where our produce is harvested is central to our lives. Balancing traditions from yesteryear with modern techniques and lovingly preparing our food is part and parcel of our everyday ethos. Our presentation, style and food boasts honest simplicity: it takes inspiration from our surroundings and yours, enabling us to discover an aesthetic and palette that works for you. Every one of our canapés is a perfectly formed mouthful of happiness. The perfect way to end a beautiful day and to keep your guests on their feet are our very moreish Sun Down Picnics - Wood-Fired Toasted Sandwiches, 100% Sourdough Pizzas, Platters of Cheese, Meats and Pickles and Bountiful Salads.

We’re looking for wonderful people to join our Front of House crew for the 2025 season. From April to October, we bring the feast to big, beautiful weddings and gatherings across Cornwall & Devon - think wild seaside marquees and candlelit barns, to grand old houses with stories to tell.

Absolutely beautiful location on last weekends wedding of Lizzie & Mir - had a blast bbQing almost everything a little bit before serving x garlic scapes from - they were sweet & spicy - we sat them with charred lemons & bbQ rolled herby chickens, the lemons kind of give up all the goods & so you can just squeeze out all this caramelised juice. It’s perfect & I love it.

A few things you can currently pick & do things with;

Elderflowers (we preserve it in honey & vinegar)

Pine needles (use it for smoking, or put in a vinegar)

Fig leaf (syrups & vinegars for preservation, panna cotta for the nows)

Cherry leaf (who knows, some people say they are toxic, other people say they are anti-toxic??) x

We’re five weddings in to 2022’s Summer of Fun and its been crammed FULL of blue skies, hot ovens, popping corks, sooo many hands grabbing epic food, washing up in the sunshine, high fives, giddy guest chats, laughing in cars, clear plates, mmmmm noises + a cheeky bit of sunburn too. All of the best stuff.

It all started with April & Tom, who smashed their day whilst looking like film stars at . It was iconic.

'Thank you so much to Emily and the gang for making our day so special. You executed the wedding breakfast with such style and class. All of our guests commented on how delicious and different the food was. One of our guests, a chef, said it was the best wedding food he'd ever had. It was a pleasure to be invited to meet you beforehand and get to know your style and try some of their key dishes. We can't wait to eat your food again at future weddings and would recommend you in an instant to anyone looking for a real foodie wedding experience'.
