The United In Blue installation features 27,400 flags placed on the National Mall, "a visual reminder that by 2030, colorectal cancer is expected to be the No. 1 cause of cancer death for those under the age of 50."

The rally, held adjacent to the installation, brings patients, survivors, medical professionals, and others into a community of conversation and support. The rally is followed by a celebration dinner and a day of advocacy and policy on Capital Hill.

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with colorectal cancer, if you have questions about cancer prevention and testing, or if you would like to get involved in supporting and advocating for others in the fight against cancer, reach out to Fight Colorectal Cancer or one of the participating organizations to be connected with resources, support communities, and volunteer opportunities.

An adjunct professor of saxophone at Morgan State University, saxophonist Brent Birckhead is an award-winning artist and has performed and toured with many legendary artists, including Lauryn Hill, Nas, Wale, Eric Benet, Larry Graham, George Duke and more.

released his eponymous debut album on Revive Music. The album, BIRCKHEAD, was "Recorded during one six-hour session and driven by topics as varied as love, familial history and the fraught nature of the modern black experience."

On Monday, JPMorgan Chase & Co. cut the ribbon on its first regional headquarters. Based in Washington, D.C., the newly renovated Mid-Atlantic headquarters "reinforces the firm’s commitment to Washington D.C. and the Greater Washington region."
