Glover Day is back and only a few short days away!
Saturday, July 27th come join us for a day you don’t want to miss.
Here is the agenda for the Day! Hope to see you all there !!

Don't forget Friday Night at Parker Pie 4-7pm for pre race registration!

Saturday: 7am Race registration Opens
8:00 am first bus leaves for the racers
8:30 am Second (Final) bus leaves for the racers
9:00 am Races begin for all adult races! Bike/Run/Walk

10-10:30 am Live music with Local musicians

Glover Day is back! Mark your calendars for July 27th *the last Saturday in July** because this is an event you won't want to miss! Get ready for a day filled with excitement, laughter, and endless fun for the whole family!

One of the highlights of Glover Day is the kids' games. We have a wide variety of games planned, guaranteed to keep the little ones entertained and engaged. From classic sack races to thrilling relay races, there's something for every child to enjoy. It's the perfect opportunity for them to make new friends and create lasting memories.

For all the adrenaline junkies out there, we have an exhilarating Bike Race lined up. Tour de Glover is back with a new and improved course. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just starting out, this race will put your skills to the test. Feel the wind in your hair as you pedal your way to victory, and maybe even take home a shiny trophy.

If running is more your speed, don't worry, we've got you covered! Lace up your running shoes and join us for the Running Race. It doesn't matter if you're a professional marathoner or someone who simply enjoys a leisurely jog, this race is open to everyone. So, gather your friends, family, and even your furry companions, and let's make this race one to remember.

No event is complete without music, and Glover Day is no exception. We have an amazing lineup of talented musicians who will keep you entertained throughout the day. So, bring a blanket, or a chair and grab a spot on the grass, kick back, and enjoy the tunes.

It is with great regret that we have to announce that we need to postpone Glover Day once again this year. It has been a struggle to pull it together after the Covid shutdowns and the aftermath of that. We will use this off year to plan a much more fun and entertaining event for 2024. We will be asking for your feedback in the coming months to expand our offerings next year, so stay tuned and let us know your thoughts.

It is with regret that we have to announce that, due to circumstances beyond our control, we need to once again cancel the Glover Day celebration for this year. We plan on using this down time to restructure the Glover Day committee in order to make the planning and management of this important event more efficient and effective. Thanks everyone for your past support. We look forward to next year's celebration being bigger and better than ever. We will keep you posted on our progress and welcome your thoughts and participation in the planning process.

The Glover Day Citizen Committee has met twice within the last two weeks and have decided that Glover Day is a GO for this year. It will, as always, happen on the last Saturday in July, July 30. We are working on generating an interesting and diverse group of activities for this year's celebration. It will be so wonderful to get our town celebration back into the swing of things. Check back here for updates on exactly what the committee has planned in addition to all of the usual fun activities.

For a variety of reasons, we have decided to cancel our annual Glover Day celebration once again this year. Almost everyone is struggling to recover from the pandemic. There is just not enough time or energy to plan even a downsized event. Throughout our discussions, both within the committee and with the general public, some great new ideas have surfaced that will enhance next year’s event. Keep those ideas coming. The Glover Church will still be having its auction at 11:30 in front of the church on July 31. So do come out and support that. Thanks for all of your support and we look forward to joining you for Glover Day 2022.

"oh, the times they are a changin' ". We are having our first Glover Day Committee planning meeting this evening at 7 in the basement of the town hall. We will be planning on holding this year's town celebration on our usual last Saturday in July, the 31st, if all goes well with the relaxing of pandemic restrictions. We have some great new ideas for this year's event, but not a lot of time to get it all done. If you would like to be a part of our efforts, please stop by and get involved.
