TUX 2024 Spirit Score Results

Congrats to Local 613, Lore Ultimate and The Academy Ultimate for leading the way and demonstrating good sportsmanship while playing!

Overall, spirit scores for the weekend were generally positive, with only a small handful handed out below 10. There was also a lot of love going on in the Open division this year.

Thanks to all the teams, and team captains and coaches, for keeping things positive out there to set the tone for the season.

Thank you to the roughly 850 players who chose to kick off their summer touring season with us at this year's Toronto Ultimate Exhibition (TUX) 2023!

We will have a written wrap-up with all the stories, upsets, scores, and maybe even some drone footage in a couple of days.

The 'Touring' Ultimate scene is the heart and soul of our company, and for good reason.

While we love Ultimate of any sort (pick up, league, etc), the memories made competing for a weekend at a tournament - the road trips to get there, the Saturday night parties, the friendships and frenemies in other cities and around the world you discover - make Touring special. So much so, that for many of us, it becomes more than a hobby, but almost a lifestyle :)

So, what does it take to be a 'Touring level' player? Well, get some friends, register for a tournament and voila! You're now a touring player! There are tournaments for all levels of the sport and you shouldn't feel this is an elite club alone.

Moreover, you often play as many games in a single weekend tournament as you do in half of an entire summer league season. So, if you're looking to ramp up your experience, there is no better way to get some touches on the disc.

This year, there are a lot of people in the Greater Toronto area who need a team. We want you to still have a chance to get a taste of touring - with some coaching, and a tournament or two. Meet others, gain some experience and have fun!

We often get requests coming our way for coaches. Sometimes this is for touring teams. Sometimes this is for league teams who want to have a one-off session. Sometimes from schools, events, other organizations and more.

Some are volunteer requests, some are paid opportunities.

Some are for one-time gigs for a couple of hours, and some are for an entire season.

We have a few paid coaching opportunities coming up, and we'd like to refresh our coaching directory. If you are interested, please fill out our form to get added to our coaches directory. We will keep your info on file and communicate about potential opportunities for up to two years.

We currently have 16 mixed teams, 8 womens teams, and 11 open teams registered for the Toronto Ultimate Exhibition (TUX) 2023! It's going to be a great event!

As a reminder, registration closes this May 1st at midnight, so if you haven't registered yet, please do soon!
